Optional wireless rear speakers
When you’re ready to take the next step in surround sound, Yamaha have made it easy. Simply add two WS-X1A speakers (at additional cost) to the rear and you’ve instant surround sound. As these speakers connect wirelessly, you can pick them up and use them in another room as Bluetooth speakers when you please, giving you fantastic speaker versatility.

Optional wireless subwoofer for cinematic punch
When even the SR-X40A’s built-in subwoofer isn’t enough, simply add the optional (at additional cost) Yamaha SW-X100A wireless subwoofer. Making all the difference to action movies, stadium music and adventure gaming soundtracks, the subwoofer delivers powerful bass that you can feel. For even greater bass emphasis, simply select the Bass Extension feature.

Optimised sound
With four Sound Modes, getting the perfect balance for whatever you’re watching is easy. Choose between Stereo for music, Game for console sessions, Movie for the latest blockbuster or Standard for TV. If you’re struggling to hear what they’re saying on the latest drama, simply select Clear Voice for a dialogue boost.

Wirelessly stream your music
Download the Yamaha Sound Bar Controller app (Apple iOS or Android), and you can stream your stored music and favourite music services, such as Spotify and Tidal (premium account may be required for full features). The app also lets you link up with NAS (Network Attached Storage) drives on your network and stream stored music. AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth are also available, further enhancing this soundbar’s wireless music playback potential.

Alexa voice control
With Amazon’s Alexa built-in, all you have to do is ask. Useful voice-activated functions include changing the volume, selecting source, muting, and selecting streaming services such as Amazon Music. Of course, it doesn’t just have to be about the sound. You can also ask Alexa about the weather or set a timer.

Wide range of connections – including HDMI eARC
Yamaha make it easy to connect your TV. Simply use the HDMI eARC socket on your TV and soundbar for an intuitive link. This lets you use the TV’s remote to control the soundbar’s volume and power. You can connect other sources, such as a games console or Blu-ray player via the additional HDMI and optical inputs.
