The Yamaha MusicCast Vinyl 500 is part of Yamaha's hugely impressive network audio system, MusicCast. With MusicCast, you can control all your compatible Yamaha MusicCast products via your smartphone or tablet. Play the same music on all the components or split the sound into different zones for different moods in each room; the choice is yours. The MusicCast CONTROLLER app also lets you operate the speaker and change settings quickly and easily.
Wireless connection
If you’ve already got a MusicCast speaker system, then linking up this turntable is easy and wireless. With wireless connectivity you can site the turntable a distance from the other components yet still stream vinyl music throughout your entire MusicCast speaker system.
Voice control via Alexa
With Amazon’s hugely popular Alexa voice control integration, all you have to do is ask. “Alexa, ask MusicCast to play Favourite 1 in the kitchen”, is all you need to say to get the music started.

Getting the MusicCast Vinyl 500 to play your streaming music is easy. Compatible with Spotify Premium, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Pandora and Napster, all of the major providers are covered. Simply sync with your smartphone or tablet and you’re good to go.
Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay as standard
Built-in Apple AirPlay means that you can stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly. If you use another brand of smartphone or tablet then you've also got Bluetooth, for easy music streaming from your portable device.

High performance tonearm and cartridge
Compatible with a wide range of cartridges, the straight tonearm used by the Vinyl 500 offers superior tracking ability. A quality Audio Technica MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge is included in the package to get you started with minimum fuss.
Connect up to any system with an AUX input
As well as the option for wireless, MusicCast connectivity, the Vinyl 500 can still be connected to your system by cable. The built-in phono stage means that you don't even need to use an amplifier or system with a dedicated turntable input - any system with an AUX input in will do.

Quality record player & really nice in white , straight forward instructions for assembly ,I also bought the yamaha wireless speaker @ same time , great sound will get another for bedroom , richer sounds price promise also saved me more money on a already good deal I had found online .

Great turntable, sounds and looks fantastic!
I have had this for over two weeks and it is one of the best purchases an aficionado to vinyl can buy, especially if you do not have much room in you flat for a full all valve amplifier and tower Hi Fi speakers; you can play your favourite vinyls via bluetooth and stills sounds amazing, with that all-analog warmth that only the vinyl grooves can offer on top you can use it as a stream platform for music apps like spotify and the rest. I highly recommend it.
