Superb value noise cancelling headphones with a surprisingly impressive sound, too, the Goldring NS1000 Expedition headphones are hard to beat.

The Goldring NS1000 Expedition headphones provide excellent noise cancellation performance in two respects. In the first, the large, wrap-around ear cups cover your ears and physically shield them from outside noise. The closed back design also helps prevent sound leakage. In addition to this, the latest Active Noise Reduction system counters background noise from noisy planes, trains and other transport systems.

Although primarily noise cancelling headphones, the NS1000 Expedition's sound impressive in their own right. The large drive units offer a broad frequency response for a dynamic, powerful sound quality. The high quality, tangle free cable also plays its part in providing a highly detailed and transparent sound. Over all, they offer a very balanced sound that doesn't drone out the vocals with an aggressive bass response.

The addition of an in-line microphone and pause control enables you to take calls on your smartphone whilst wearing the headphones. The Active Noise Reduction again comes into its own here, as it makes it much easier to hear the caller - even in busy environments.

Using just a single AAA battery, the NS1000 Expedition is able to provide up to 40 hours of performance. Supplied with an aircraft adaptor socket these headphones are also ideal for long haul flights. A carry case also keeps the headphones protected from the bumps and jostles of travel when not in use.

Comfortable, practical and not least, decent sounding, the Goldring NS1000 headphones are the ideal travel companion.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Great sound, great price! Used this product on flights to NZ. They worked fantastically! Would highly recommend them. 26 July 2014
Rated 2 out of 5áby Sound great, build poor I have had this for less than 6 months. Twice the headbands have snapped. Twice I've had it replaced. Now the cable is so bad it doesn't work in one ear so now I don't have a set of head phones. I did not expect that level of quality when paying ú69 for headphones. Let's hope I get the same customer service when I try to replace the cable. 02 June 2014
Rated 2 out of 5áby Poor build quality I purchased these headphones after reading good reviews, and as far as sound quality and noise cancelling goes these are good- comfortable, clear tones and actually so snug over the ear that I hardly use the noise cancelling feature. However, I had to replace the cable within two weeks of purchase as connection in the left hand speaker was initially intermittent and then failed completely. Since then, the left hand elbow connecting the fixed sections of headphone and headband has split, fragmented and parts completely broken off. I've only had these 5 months and use them at my desk for ordinary use; I wasn't expecting to replace them so soon! 09 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Good purchase for the money got these after reading the reviews , use them on my train commute where they greatly reduce the noise , also used on a recent aircraft journey where they made a great difference despite sitting on the window seat by the wing single AAA battery seems to last for ages 10 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby These headphones are just as described and we'll deserve previous five star reviews I am really pleased with this purchase.I did not have the budget for BOSE but I think the NS 1000 are unbeatable quality for the price, and so comfy to wear.Excellent product I am a confirmed internet shopper and a very regular user of a wide range of "shops" but can honestly say that RIcher Sounds are the best company I have used.THey kept me updated at each step of my purchase and could even predict the arrival time to within an hour.......impressive! I will certainly use them again.Thank you 17 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Happy purchase! I was fortunate enough to use some noise cancelling head phones on a first class flight supplied by the airline, flying normal class this time I thought I'd miss the noise cancelling headset so I researched for a pair of my own. Reading many reviews, I chose these as whilst not ú20, the reviews spoke highly of them and I'm certainly not disappointed. I'm no sound expert but the sound is crystal clear, nice bass, comfortable to wear and as for the noise cancelling, it's a must for any flight of a reasonable length. I wore them for the whole 11 hour flight, it removes the drone and cabin noise of an aircraft and dims peoples voices so you enjoy inflight entertainment and can sleep as well. If you're flying anytime soon they are a must for your bag. One word of note, take care where there headset socket is on your flight, mine was on the inside of my armrest and I knocked it with my leg and bent the connector. Spares can be purchased, but take care. 14 March 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby Didn't last 2 months I liked the headphone very much but after having them for 2 months a bit of the plastic holding the adjusting bit broke off. I have only used them 3 times in that time. AVOID these 05 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Goldring NS1000 Headphones The product arrived very quickly. It was easy to assemble and the directions for use were very clear. We will know more of its attributes soon when we road test it but it looks very good the little we have used it. 02 March 2014
