Superb value noise cancelling headphones with a surprisingly impressive sound too, the Goldring NS1000 Expedition headphones are hard to beat.

Noise canceling

The Goldring NS1000 Expedition headphones provide excellent noise cancellation performance in two respects. Firstly, the large, wrap-around ear cups cover your ears and physically shield them, with the closed-back design helping to prevent sound leakage. Secondly, the latest Active Noise Reduction system counters background noise from planes, trains and other sources.

Class-leading sound quality
Although primarily noise cancelling headphones, the NS1000 Expedition's sound impressive in their own right. The large drive units offer a broad frequency response for a dynamic, powerful sound quality. The high quality, tangle-free cable also plays its part in providing a highly detailed and transparent sound. Over all, they offer a very balanced sound that doesn't drone out the vocals with an aggressive bass response.

Microphone for calls
The addition of an in-line microphone and pause control enables you to take calls on your smartphone whilst wearing the headphones. The Active Noise Reduction again comes into its own here, as it makes it much easier to hear the caller - even in busy environments.

Practical travelers
Using just a single AAA battery, the NS1000 Expedition will provide up to 40 hours of performance. Supplied with an aircraft adaptor socket, they're also ideal for long haul flights. A carry case also keeps the headphones protected from the bumps and jostles of travel when not in use.

Comfortable, practical and not least, decent sounding, the Goldring NS1000 headphones are the ideal travel companion.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Chris20 Recently purchased these headphones from richer sounds. The sound quality is ok but nothing special, was looking to buy another pair of AKG 451 but was told in store they've stopped doing them. There is no comparison in price (AKG ú48) and Goldring (ú69). The audio quality is OK on goldring but seems to lack base and power, I had to turn my iPad, laptop and iPhone 6 to full blast to hear a powerful rich sound. Overall not pleased with these and will be taking them back and purchasing some cheap Sony headphones which my mate has which Produce a much clearer, richer power full sound for ú15 which is much cheaper then these ones. 20 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby does what it says on the tin Very helpful and efficient staff, very efficient and nice tonal quality headphones 17 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Does what It says on the cans..... I bought these for use on a lengthy plane trip, and was pleasantly surprised by their sound quality, since much of my home listening is done on headphones which cost substantially more. The noise cancelling works well: I was able to listen to a wide range of music from loud rock to quiet classical with just a hint of engine roar in the background, though never enough to stop me losing myself in whatever I was listening to. The phones helped to make the journey much less of a trial and stayed comfortable throughout - I hardly knew they were there. Incidentally, I found that even in quiet environments, they sound better with the cancelling switched on. The carry case is on the large side, especially now that some airlines severely restrict cabin baggage, but since it has space that could be used to hold an mp3 player and spare batteries, tit might sometimes be seen as an added bonus.. An excellent buy.. 10 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Goldring NS 1000 Expedition Excellent value noise cancelling headphones which are light and comfortable to wear and provide a sound quality comparable with very expensive headphones. 10 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great value headphones Very comfortable set of headphones, great sound for what I need. Carry case offers good protection but is quite large. 06 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Good travel headphones with an excellent delivery policy Ordering on line was fairly easy apart from a little issue in the slow refreshment rate of the payment section. The Headphones arrived 1.5 days later which is a very good delivery from my experience. The most impressive part was the delivery company's texts before delivery, offering alternative options for the final drop off, which i indulged in. This is the sort of communication a buyer wants, so keep it up Richer sounds!! Early days as yet in trying the NS1000 headphones, seem comfortable on short times, seem good base noise/engine noise cut off, but they will be properly tested on flights to and from Thailand next week 12 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Now we've all got them! We bought one pair of these for my husband who was doing several long-haul flights for work. He was so impressed by them that we now each have a pair. They are great value for noise-reduction headphones and make long-haul flights much less tiring. 10 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby A decent pair of headphones at an excellent price For the price point these are a very good pair of on-ear headphones with a solid performance that is instantly recognisably better than most bottom end of the market headphones (ú20-30) making them definetly worth the higher a price tag if quality is important to you. The headphones are comfortable to wear, although after a few hours you can feel the effects slightly, but I think this is normal for all but the most expensive headphones. The 3.5mm cable is not quite as high quality as I received in my older pair of these headphones (the non 'Expedition' version) but it is perfect fine, but not quite as solid that may cause them to get damaged a little easier over a longer period. But the cable is detacheable from both ends (device and headphones) so easily repalced if needed in the future. Overall very impressed with the product. I had the previous version 5 years ago for ú100 and expected more of the same from these at a great price and am not disappointed in the slightest. 29 August 2015
