This is an excellent amp for the price, I used it to replace a Musical Fidelity X80 for the system on my TV. It doesn't have quite the depth or warmth of the X80 but at a fifth of the price is a fantastic amp for the money and perfect for the application. One small fault I had to earth the casing as it generated an enormous amount of mains hum. A length of speaker cable attached to one of the casing screws and run through the earthing pin of a three pin plug cured this. The extra 25% output is the main advantage of buying this over the AM1 as no one really needs to use balance and tone controls with a good amp

Bought this to replace my NAD 3130
It's setup up in my small home office coupled with Pioneer PDM500 cd and TIBO DAB tuner, pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.0s.
I'm no audio expert but I know what I like. This is a great sounding amp that does what it does very well. It's not an overly powerful beast but if you're listening in a smallish area then you won't want it too loud anyway.
Some of the CD's I'm istening to, especially some live acoustic stuff, really come alive with this amp and speaker setup. There's great depth and clarity that I've only heard on setup's costing three or more times as much.
It does have limitations and the lack of a phono stage mean I haven't been able to use it with my vinyl collection, but the DAB output from the TIBO dab tuner sounds great too so I would assume a decent phono stage and deck would work well with this also. You can't drive it too hard as it will distort
Minor quibbles for a bargain price AMP!

My recent buy of a Topaz 25 watt amplifier has proved over the past few days to be a very good decision. It replaced a Nad amp of similar power bought at Richer 23 years ago.Yes- 23 years! Although it has similar power and sound quality in ordinary hi-fi applications, for myself as a composer in the genres of jazz/rock/electronica/classical and similar, my happiest surprise was a 30 percent improvement in bass quality of tone, and a similarly high percent in detail of separation of notes. The original music is quite often 'note busy',and anyone into techno or jazz will know what sequencers and the like sound like, and jazzers play fast too. So,at some points, there are dozens of notes running together, and this is the great value of the amp,and also of the cable bought with it.- at 2.49 a metre,it was a mere 15 Earth pounds to get connected, and the update is,at 135gbp,one of my lifetime bargains. And it will go for years Old style system user? BUY THIS AMP!!!
