Now with HD Audio format decoding and a host of other new features, the Yamaha RXV371 is the most convincing budget AV receiver from the brand for years.

With HD Audio format decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, the Yamaha RX-V371 has the digital processing power to take the fight to its rivals head on. Furthermore, this powerful new processing is backed up by an impressive amplifier for a budget model. Once processed by the 192/24-bit Burr Brown DACs on each channel, the sound goes through a high power, low impedance amplifier with an impressive 100 watts per channel (6 ohms).

Coming complete with four, 3D compatible HDMI sockets, the Yamaha RXV371 is the ideal budget AV receiver for a 3D TV future. With four HDMI inputs and a monitor output you're all set for linking up either 3D or conventional sources and connecting them through to a 3D or conventional TV. Furthermore, there's also support for an Audio Return Channel, letting you feed back the sound from your TV through the home cinema speakers with just one HDMI cable. A great new feature with the RXV371 is the dock port. This lets you connect the optional Yamaha YDS-12 iPod/iPhone dock or the YBA-10 Bluetooth adaptor for complete compatibility with your Smartphone or other media device.

In addition to sounding great, the Yamaha is also easy to use. The SCENE function automatically selects the ideal DSP (Digital Signal Processor) setting to suit the input. Four SCENE selections ensure that you always have the correct setting when watching films or listening to music. As this is a Yamaha, the wide selection of DSP modes (17) give a range of effects not available with other AV receivers. In addition to this, YPAO automatically sets the speakers to match the room's acoustics, making the RXV371 just as easy to set up as ever.

Other great features with this budget Yamaha receiver include Compressed Music Enhancer and A/V lip sync function. Compressed Music Enhancer improves the sound from MP3 sources such as computer audio or iPods giving them enhanced detail at the top end and lower bass. A/V lip sync function ensures you get a perfect match between the image of dialogue on your TV and the actual sound from your speakers. Finally, as with other 71-series AV receivers, the RXV371 comes with a revised power supply that not only gives low stand-by power consumption but also the option of selectable automatic power down.

Genuinely better than ever, the Yamaha RXV371 is a formidable rival for any budget AV receiver.
