This page is intended to demonstrate the incredible value of our 6 Year Supercare. Under recent legislation, we are obliged to point out that you obviously do not need to purchase an extended warranty at the same time you purchase your electrical goods and are entitled to shop around. We have been encouraging our customers to do just that for years because, not only are our prices significantly cheaper than our competitors, but just look at what else we include:

Free loan machine (only if taken back to store)
Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.

Like for like machine if unit is unrepairable
If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.

Free routine service / Maintenance checks
have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 6 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).

45 day cooling off period
If you're not happy with our 6 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

If you use the policy in the 6 years, you'll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don't use it... IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!*

* Simply return your unused Supercare policy within one month of the expiration date, and we'll refund the price of your warranty.

The Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus does the seemingly impossible and improves upon a legend!

The best just gets better

With a raft of improvements the Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus is still the best way of improving the sound from your hi-fi, AV system, PC, laptop and now, even your headphones!

Massive improvements to the sound of your digital sources
The purpose behind the DacMagic Plus is simple: to make your music sound better, whatever the digital source. Plug in your Blu-ray, DVD or CD player via optical or coaxial connections (there are two of each) and enjoy up-sampled music quality that's better than CD. The USB connection for your computer supports 24-bit transfer for 'better than CD quality'. So music files stored on your PC or laptop in top 24/192 quality can be streamed, uncompressed, through the DacMagic Plus and enhanced by its DAC.

Bluetooth, to work with your phone or tablet
The Plus model has the option of being able to stream music from your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. With the optional BT100 audio receiver connected, simply link up via high quality apt-X or standard Bluetooth and stream your stored or streaming tunes from your device to the DacMagic and on into your hi-fi.

The best specification in its class
The DacMagic Plus has the highest quality digital circuitry possible at its price. Twin Wolfson WM8740 DACs, implemented in a dual differential mode, are complemented by an Anagram Technologies AFT2 24 bit/384 kHz up-sampling circuit. Up-sampling conventional CD 'stretches' the format to give the highest resolution possible, and also aids standard 24-bit/192kHz recordings with a faster sampling rate for less jitter.

How does it sound?
Up-sampling gives a smoother, more relaxed sound quality with added detail. You'll also notice enhanced depth and a more natural quality without the 'edge' that can afflict digital music. You'll hear every detail, including the odd cough, squeaky chair and flutter of sheet music; in short, it's like being there for real!

More than a DAC
First off, the DacMagic Plus comes with a dedicated headphone amp and volume control. More revealing, more dynamic and with less noise, the headphone output gives your cans a whole new lease of life. In addition it comes with a new digital pre-amp function. Combined with the volume control, you can now connect directly to active speakers or a power amp for a shorter signal path and superior sound quality.

With more features than ever but the same performance boosting appeal, the DacMagic Plus is more than magic, it's magic plus!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Truly amazing piece of kit I was totally shocked at the difference this has made to my hi fi,the sound quality is truly amazing , I'm hearing all sorts of things on my cd collection that I have never heard before , I've also purchased the BT100 dongle and even playing music via my iPad with Spotify is superb . Overall amazing . 04 August 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby A lot more than expected I purchased the dacmagic plus to achieve a wired connection between my MacBook and amp, as I had connection issues with an airport express. I wasn't expecting a significant improvement in sound, as the airport express is well regarded sound quality wise. What a surprise when I began listening after an easy set-up process. I found a significant improvement immediately, with separation, clarity, and dynamics of the music improved. Bass also has better extension, and the soundstage has more depth too. I've previously used dacs in dedicated hifi systems and the dacmagic plus compares favourably - I think you would need to spend upwards of a ú1000 to achieve a significant improvement on it. Excellent product and highly recommended. 06 June 2016

Rated 5 out of 5áby great value Dac Being used to a great sounding HIFI system consisting of NAIM Audio Pre / power Amplifier and CD player and Shahinian Obelisk Loudspeakers and expensive Cables costing more than the DAC, I was surprised at the sound quality from the Cambridge Audio DAC improving the sound from my XBOX one and Samsung TV. The sound has great Depth and weight and is very musical although not the last word when it comes to detail. 12 March 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Good quality product with great features Although the unit as great features I was some what surprised with the cost of the unit that I had to down load software to run USB 2 which is now used on all laptops although it was simple to do. 16 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellant DAC for the price An excellent DAC for the price i paid and one of the few to have XLR outputs so it was easy to connect to my KRK active subwoofer and KRK active monitors. Very nicely finished and sound quality (to my ears) is exceptional - works perfectly with my macbook and the headphone output is a very welcome addition. Some online reviews have mentioned the volume knob as being below par but i consider it really good - there is a nice weighted feel in use and it's easy to dial in the precise volume you desire - the addition of a press-to-mute function on the knob is a classy touch I imagine i will be purchasing a Cambridge Audio CXC transport to pair with the DAC Magic+ very soon. 27 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Hear what you have been missing I have a collection of CD's and my CD player gave up the ghost a while ago. I thought I would use my Blu-Ray player instead, and whilst it works there was something missing from the music. I also felt that linking my Blu-Ray direct to my Arcam amp gave a somewhat overblown and boomy sound. I decided to take the plunge and after advice from Richer Sounds and looking at reviews, I bought the Cambridge DAC Plus. Easy to set up, I proceeded to play a CD and was struck firstly by how tight the music was, and the fact there were more nuances, and I was able to pick out a lot more instruments. The bass is not so weighty as some, but listening to a whole CD I was left with the impression that the Cambridge coped easily and produced a relaxed if slightly bright sound. The filter was useful on recordings which were less than perfect and I have regained the music that was lost. Highly recommended 10 January 2016
