Now with Bluetooth APT-X music streaming, the Roth Sub Zero II soundbar is more versatile than ever.
Quality Roth sound
Using four powered drive units and a 60W Class-D digital amplifier, the Roth Sub Zero II soundbar gives a detailed and spacious sound that most TVs can't hope to match. Designed for low distortion, the Sub Zero II can be turned up to high volume levels without the distortion and harshness that you'd find with TV speakers, while Roth DSP sound processing gives an enveloping sound that you wouldn't credit from a single speaker cabinet.
Powerful bass response
In addition to the standard powered speakers, the Sub Zero II also has two built-in Ultra-Bass passive drivers. With these you don't need a separate subwoofer and they give the Sub Zero II a genuine full-range sound. Action movies now have the impact that TV speakers simply can't replicate.
Bluetooth music streaming with apt-X
In addition to making your TV sound great, this Roth soundbar also offers easy Bluetooth music streaming. With this, you can stream music from your smartphone, tablet or Bluetooth-equipped laptop or desktop computer, accessing your music library or a music streaming service such as Spotify or last.fm. By using the high quality the apt-X format, wireless sound quality gets closer to wired than ever.
Easy to use and flexible positioning
With a choice of two analogue (3.5mm and RCA phono) and a single digital optical input, the Roth Sub Zero II has the ability to connect up to three devices, such as TV, games console and Blu-ray player. At just 8cm deep it's easy and unobtrusive to position, while the included wall mount kit gives more positioning options.
Now much more than just an impressive soundbar, the Roth Sub Zero II makes the most of your music streaming, too. It's the perfect all-rounder.

Good for the price.
Product is generally excellent. Looks and sounds good. Loses a star because a) the manual doesn't tell you which input is which by the different colours on the display and b) if you get a straight connector on the optical lead it is too deep for the socket and the bar will not lie straight on a flat surface. Make sure you get a right angled connector or at least one with a small connector. Check before buying.

But too big....
As I found so many soundbars are very wide. This one overwhelmed my 40" TV set up and looked out of place. My fault. I should have checked.
I was reluctant to return it because it gave me the sound i required but it had to go!

roth sub zero ll
this is an excellent soundbar choice on a budget It will transform the weedy on-board tv speakers for sure. The only negatives I found were the poor led display which is useless and I never did fully resolve the lip sync mismatch via the optical connect but as I use the 3.5 jack connection to control volume with the tv remote this is'nt an issue for me. These two issues do not detract from what is otherwise an excellent sounding speaker.

It's a good quality and value sound bar. The only things I could fault is the front volume power LEDs aren't very bright so you can't see the volume level and the volume levels step up quite a bit from each other so it can be too quite too to loud if you turn it up a notch.

Good but with a few drawbacks
It certainly improved the audio quality coming out of the TV which is the main thing .
Setting it up wasn't all that easy and getting to know the sequence of buttons to press to make the thing work took sometime but once learnt was okay although it meant using another remote control. The green and red lights are a bit small to be seen clearly especially if your eyesight is not what it was.
The bass response on music and movie is a bit strong so I tend to use it on voice for everything .Although the RCA cable was included and I could connect it to the SKYBOX which I did, I think you could have supplied the 3.5mm to 3.5 mm audio jack cable as well.I bought one in Tescos for £6 anyway. The volume control on the little remote is rather unresponsive and you need to press it a few time to have noticeable effect.
Other good features I havent tried yet are the Bluetooth streaming and the digital optical input

First one I bought was dud, but I was given a full refund. This one is very good, the sound is rich and bassy, and it looks good.
The only problem is the led display, which is totally invisible in daylight,
but I knew that from other reviewers before I bought it.
However, dont let that put you off, as once you set it for your desired audio
mode, you dont need to see it again.
Bluetooth is excellent.
Very happy with this soundbar.

This is really good value with excellent sound for my 32" Sony TV. Easy to connect. Only quibble is that one cant control the sound from the TV - needs a separate remote control.
AS it was clearance came without mains lead which on recommendation brought from Maplin

Roth Soundbar review
I had never heard of Roth before and wanted a budget soundbar to go with my new Panasonic TV, Richer sounds told me these were excellent value for money. Out of the box & connected up quickly. Soundbar looks good and sounds very good considering the cost.
The soundbar obscured the TV remote control receiver on the the bottom of the TV and made for interesting use of the TV remote. TV repositioned and no problems after that.
I find the indication on the soundbar difficult to see, the LEDs could be more powerful as they seem to disappear no matter what the ambient lighting is. Other than that the unit is great value for money.
