    The Alumni is the latest in a long line of award winning home cinema speakers from Mordaunt Short.

    Mordaunt Short are no strangers to quality, style and innovation and, with the Alumni range, it truly shows. Key to the appeal of this stunning 5.1 speaker package is the compact satellite speakers. With tapered edges and a choice of gloss black or gloss white finishes, the Alumni speakers are some of the most discreet yet stylish speakers in their class. Yet the pedigree of these home cinema speakers means that there's a lot more to the Alumni package than just good looks. The 25mm aluminium dome tweeter delivers extraordinary levels of detail and razor sharp resolution while the CPC (Continuous Profile Cone) mid/bass drivers' clean lines are fundamental to Alumni 2's superior sense of realism. That curved cabinet shape isn't just there for good looks, either: it also helps with the sound quality by discouraging standing waves - creating a more spacious and less boxy sound. As with the other Alumni speakers, only the highest quality components are used inside with low saturation inductors and polypropylene capacitors helping reduce distortion and improve clarity.

    The centre speaker offers all of the advantages of the satellites but with the benefit of a symmetrical D'Appolito (woofer-tweeter-woofer) layout for a broader spread of sound. Unlike many rivals, that simply use an ordinary satellite speaker, this configuration enhances the quality of dialogue, sound staging and integration of speakers. In short, it's harder to know exactly where the speakers you're listening to are.

    Crucial to any effective set of surround speakers is a powerful subwoofer, and the Alumni once again scores here. The cabinet may be compact, but that doesn't stop the 120 watt amplifier and 8", long throw, bass cone from producing a window-rattling bass response. Yet power is nothing without control and here too the Alumni demonstrates its superiority over lesser rivals. Once properly set up, the subwoofer proves so seamless that it's difficult to detect its physical presence at all.

    Full parts and labour cover
    Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.

    Pick up and drop off at your home
    If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.

    Like for like machine replacement if unit is unrepairable
    Have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 5 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).

    45 Day Cooling Off Period
    If you're not happy with our 5 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

    If you don't use it, it won't cost you a thing!

    DELIVERY INFORMATION

    All orders are shipped via our friends at DPD, except high value desirable items such as plasma and LCD TVs over 37 inches, which are sent fully insured with a specialist carrier.

    If this is your first order with us, please ensure that the only address you enter is the credit card billing address, as this is the only address to which we can deliver. If you have previously placed an order on our website, you will be offered an alternative delivery address if your order value is
    less than £500. Also, ensure you only click the submit order button once, as it will take a minute or so to process.

    Delivery occurs within 5 working days (unless ordered on a 1-3 working days service). If after this time you have still to take receipt of your order email webaftersales@richersounds.com providing your order number, name, address, and brief details of what you ordered. We strive to answer all queries within a working day, although at busy times we do ask that you bear with us. Please submit your query only once, as repeated emails/telephone calls only serves to slow down our response time and can result in further delays to your order.

    All deliveries must be signed for. They will NOT be left in garages, sheds, outside loos, porches etc. You must examine the goods before signing for them to ensure they are in good condition - if packaging is damaged please do not accept goods. Instead notify us as soon as possible. If there is no-one in to sign for the goods, they will be taken back to the courier depot and a card left.

    If we are out of stock of an item or there is a problem, we will contact you as soon as is possible.

     
    DELIVERY TRACKING

    Once you have placed an order and the order has been dispatched, you will receive an e-mail (usually the day before delivery) from DPD containing your tracking information. Please note that this does not apply to plasma screens or accessories such as remote controls, cables, leads etc.
