Free loan machine (Subject to availability. Only if taken back to store)
Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.
Like for like machine if unit is unrepairable
If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.
Free routine service / Maintenance checks
have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 6 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).
45 day cooling off period
If you're not happy with our 6 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.
If you use the policy in the 6 years, you'll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don't use it... IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!*

With the ability to stream from almost any device on your network and in decent quality, the QED uPlay Stream is an invaluable accessory.
The missing link between laptop audio and hi-fi
With the QED uPlay Stream you can take the music from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or NAS drive and send it wirelessly to your hi-fi with ease. Connecting up is easy; the QED connects to your home network hub via either Ethernet wired or wirelessly to your hi-fi via phono or 3.3mm leads. A dedicated QED app (iOS or Android) makes it easy to stream the music either from your phone/tablet or from a computer/NAS drive system. The uPlay Stream also makes it possible to access content from Cloud storage, such as Drop Box and Sky Drive.
At the heart of the uPlay Stream is a high quality Wolfson DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). This ensures detailed and dynamic sound and the potential to get the most from high resolution sources. The uPlay Stream will stream files up to 24 bit/96kHz for 'better than CD' quality results. Supported formats include Apple Lossless, FLAC, WAV, WMA, AAC and MP3.
For music around the home, it's possible to use up to eight uPlay Streams within a single loop. What's more, the QED app provides independent volume control of each unit. Should you require different music in each 'zone' then simply add more smartphones or other devices into the system.
Get quality sound, wirelessly, with the QED uPlay Stream.

Great product, needs more info on setup
Struggled at first to get it working, but once working was excellent and sounds great through my 20+year old Pioneer hifi. Setup was a problem for me as setting up through the app on my iPhone at first appeared simple but messages appeared on the app that had no explanation in the manual. I sent an email to QEDs customer service, but over a week later I still have received no answer, really not good enough. I phoned RCs own helpline and received good advice. I also tried downloading the dashboard on my iMac, but it will not open. The program appears on Finder as a mobile application, but will not appear on screen. However, once working the product cis great and tremendous value for £20.

Excellent streaming device
I purchased this item so that I could join the 21st century and hook up my rather old Cambridge amplifier and JPW speakers (that I also purchased from Richer Sounds) around 15 years ago!
It took me around 10 minutes to connect my iPod touch (4th generation) to my hi-fi via the required app.I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set this up. Whilst the sound quality is good to very good, I would say my CD player delivers better sound. Another potential issue to watch out for (which applies to all music streamers) is that when my internet is running slowly, the app crashes and therefore music can't be played via this device. This isn't a critism of this device, but it is useful to know if you have medicore internet speeds. All in all, considering the price, I'm very happy. Excellent customer services from Richer Sounds as always.

just what was needed
I bought this as a gift for my brother and so have not used it yet. However, it is just what I was looking for, and is sold at an excellent price.

Previously Sceptic Is Bowled Over By QED uPlay Stream ...
I was looking for a cheap streamer that I could use in the living room and kitchen and spotted this QED baby in the sale.
Once set up with a jack lead into the aux ports on my Marantz amp (also a Richer Sounds purchase!) my sons quickly paired it with their smart phones. It didn't work on my 3G but it did work on my 4G HTC phone (alas, not from Richer) immediately.
Once you download the app and set up a playlist it's simple to play and mightily impressive for a tiny piece of kit. The audio quality of the sound through my Gale speakers (Richer, once more!) is much more impressive than I ever thought it would be.The clarity of sound is in no way distorted by the streamer,.
What's more appreciated is that since mine was the last one available from the shop and 'open box' they reduced the price by another £5! Superb behaviour.
For the price and the simplicity of set up you really cannot go wrong with this streamer. Top notch.Get one, if you can!

Easy to set up - good sound
Although quite basic, the QED uPlay works well when streaming music from my android phone. Connecting to my wireless network with WPS was a doddle. Downloading and installing the app on my phone took about a minute and I was able to stream music five minutes after taking the kit out of the box. Streaming from my Windows 10 PC was more difficult. The quickstart guide in the box was no help. I had to download the user manual to find the instructions. Even then it took a little while but I can now stream music from my PC using Windows Media Player. Unfortunately, to date I have been unable to use the app on the phone to control streaming from the PC, which is a pain because the PC and HiFi are in sparate rooms. Also the only cloud storage that the app recognises are DropBox and OneDrive. There seems to be no way to connect to other servers. As my music is on my KnowHoW cloud account this is a significant drawback.
