"This UK-only special improves on an already talented original. The attractive and versatile Debut SE3 is a fine buy." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.

A classic, now better than ever

Designed specifically for the UK market, the S/E3 version of the Debut comes with a larger and more stable platter. This provides a more solid bass response with added weight. Improved motor dampening gives better isolation, while in terms of sound quality, isolating the motor means less background noise and a more dynamic and revealing sound.

Superbly engineered
The rigid plinth with anti-vibration feet is ideal in providing a similarly taut sound quality. The motor is decoupled to further reduce vibration and, using a brass bearing housing and stainless steel axle, the platter hub is superbly engineered and built to close tolerances for fine sound and longevity. The Project 8.6s tone-arm now features a one-piece design for improved rigidity around the headshell area. This means that less detail is lost and more information can be heard.

Improved styling too
With its new gloss black plinth, the Debut S/E3 looks far classier than before. Combined with its high quality engineering, this Pro-Ject turntable really does give the impression that it comes from the class above.

If it's quality vinyl playback you're after, without the gimmicks, then there's simply none better than the Pro-Ject Debut S/E3.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Service from Richer Sounds Having bought the turntable and tried to unpick the hazy set-up instructions , I still could not set it up. I took it back to Richer Sounds the following day and after some head scratching it was realised that the drive band was missing and a different unit was substituted without question. Great service. Oh and the deck sound great too, levels of detail that I had never been able to pick out before. Some hassle therefore but worth it in the end. 09 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chuffed to bits Present to me from family; thoroughly chuffed. Like two presents in one: fabulous sound and beautifully engineered. Denon 250 SE amp (with Denon phono pre-amp), Genexxa Pro 5 speakers. My son got himself a Debut 2 some years back, so the Debut 3 SE was the obvious choice he tells me. All about sound quality without the twiddly bits that either cost more or mean lower sound spec. Platter is heavy - like a flywheel to keep speed constant. Motor mount is spring damped, so acoustically isolated. The feet are also damped. Love the minimalist elegantly-engineered design, focussing on the all-important great sound. Some of our LPs are over 40 years old, and hearing things now I never heard before! Close your eyes and it's like the instruments are in the room with you - occasionally hear fingers on strings. And provided the vinyl itself is in good nick, the quiet sections are just that - utterly soundless! My son says Richer Sounds in Cambridge were really good to deal with. 17 April 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unlucky ? I bought this turntable 8 months ago and I experienced problems since, somehow it seems not be able to connect properly to my amplifier. Every time i want to play a record I need to ground the turntable as a strong and persisting hum is coming out from the left speaker till I adjust the earth. I also get quiete a lot crackling and popping sound from the right speaker which I am unable to eliminate. I spent months researching the causes of these problems on internet and going back to RS store many times without solution. After arranging a turntable test at RS store with one of the manager, he confirmed that there is nothing is wrong with it and that possibly there is something in my that is interfering with my turntable. I then contact the UK distributer Henley Designs and they told me that is very unlikely. After months of frustration I decided to live and leave this story behind. 01 April 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great style and sound This turntable sounds great and looks good, Excellent cartridge included. Metal platter is better than MDF. Its a shame there is no Auto. 21 March 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great sound I replaced a 30 year old deck and I'd never heard my vinyl sound so good. Real detail in the treble, good bass, very clear voice, very precise drum sounds. More clarity than ever before. Used with Denon 720 and Monitor MR4 speakers. 08 March 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality turntable Really nice - great looking - easy to set up and very easy to use. 06 March 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Project Debut 111se Wow what a difference between my old turntable and amp and this Project 111se. I played Tears for Fears- Big chair. The sound was clear and clean not dull and lifeless. I love it. A+++++++++++ 24 February 2016
