"This UK-only special improves on an already talented original. The attractive and versatile Debut SE3 is a fine buy." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.

For quite some time, now, the Pro-Ject Debut has been a near default choice in the budget turntable market - and for good reason. Rather than adding fancy automated mechanisms, Pro-Ject have always concentrated on giving the best engineering quality possible for the money. With the new Debut S/E3 that quality engineering has just got better still.

THIS CLASSIC TURNTABLE IS NOW BETTER THAN EVER

Designed specifically for the UK market, the S/E3 version of the Debut comes with a larger and more stable platter. This provides a more solid bass response with added weight. Improved motor dampening helps give better isolation. In terms of sound quality, isolating the motor means less background noise and a more dynamic and revealing sound.

ALL THE OTHER FACTORS THAT MADE THE ORGINAL DEBUT III SO COMPELLING ARE STILL PRESENT AND CORRECT

The rigid plinth with anti-vibration feet is ideal in providing a similarly taut sound quality. The motor itself is decoupled to further reduce vibration. Using a brass bearing housing and stainless steel axle, the platter hub is superbly engineered and built to close tolerances for fine sound and longevity. The Project 8.6s tonearm now features a one piece design for improved rigidity around the headshell area. What this means is that less detail is lost and more information can be heard.

IT'S NOT JUST THE SOUND THAT'S BETTER, THE STYLING HAS BEEN IMPROVED, TOO

With its new gloss black plinth, the Debut S/E3 looks far classier than before. Combined with its high quality engineering, this Pro-Ject turntable really does give the impression that it comes from the class above.

If it's quality vinyl playback you're after, without the gimmicks, then there's simply none better than the Pro-Ject Debut S/E3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brings vinyl to life I purchased this to go with my new Marantz mini system, as I have a lot of vinyl that was sitting there collecting dust. Boy, am I glad I got this, the warmth of the sound of vinyl is something lovely on the ear, I had forgotten how good vinyl sounds!! It looks good and sounds good. 29 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Reliving past musical experiences on a great product. I have recently been in a position where I was bequeathed an amount of reasonabl Hi FI equipment, Marantz signature Amp, marantz signature Cd Player pioneer CD recorder, and Pure Dab/FM tuner along with Monitor audio Gold 20 speakers. I decided the to purchase a turntable to complete the set up, as I have original Pink Floyd, Stones, Sabbath, zeppelin, Queen etc. etc. in Vinyl format that I haven't heard in the last 30 years. What a revelation , I had heard people talk about the "warmth" etc vinyl versus CD and this turntable proves those statements in spades, the reproduction is brilliant even with the odd click, click , click. Easily to set up and operate. If you have any vinyl or want to listen to any this T.Table is a must buy. You can pay an awful lot more, but you'll not regret this purchase Must go now need to turn over to side 2. 21 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Life into old LP's Many years ago I turned my hi-fi into what can only be described as a CD based system. Firstly that was a big mistake as I had and still have a number of vinyl LP records. I purchased this turntable last week and I am now enjoying the really good sound from my LP?s once again. It produces a really open sound with great mid and high tones and not overly weighty on the bass tones. Thank you to the Chester shop of Richer Sounds. 25 May 2014
