Hi and welcome to Richer Sounds Manchester (Stockport)!
Opened in 1983, the Stockport branch of Richer Sounds is still one of the largest stores in the chain, with incredible displays of the latest flat-screen TV and home cinema technology. That doesn't mean to say we've forgotten our heritage, the die hard High Fidelity traditionalists among you are still extremely well catered for (dare we say spoilt?) with an amazing array of two channel bargains across a huge range of dedicated stereo gear. And of course, as always, our friendly, well trained, incredibly attractive staff are always on hand for impartial advice on whatever takes your fancy.
We offer a same day delivery and/or installation service where possible, so not only is it possible for you to take your purchase home today, but you can even relax and put your feet up by the fire while one of our highly skilled team puts your system together for you. All we ask in return is cups of tea and perhaps a nice biscuit or two.

Richer Sounds Stockport is located in the heart of Stockport's redevelopment area on historic Lower Hillgate, a mere 5-minute walk from the main shopping centre.
If you're coming by car, it's simple: come off the motorway at junction 27 - (we're about 5 minutes from the big 24-hour Tesco). Take the A626 St. Mary's Way to the top, where you'll see a Nissan garage, turn right there and follow the road down the hill through two sets of lights and at the next set of lights at the bottom of the hill you will see our new and improved store straight ahead and to your left.

John, Deputy ManagerJohn joined Richer Sounds in 1999 as a runner and quickly moved up the ranks to take control of our Stockport shop. He left the company 3 years ago to follow his dream of owning a pub or 2 or 3, become a professional Prince impersonator, a world class disco dancer and sweet romancer. He is now back with Richer Sounds and is raring to go at our Stockport store. John has excellent knowledge of all things AV but especially hi-fi as this was his first love. He is widely regarded in the north west as giving the best customer service bar none and he looks forward to having a chat and a coffee soon. He makes awesome coffee.

Chris, Sales ConsultantChris is our resident muso, vinyl geek and sporter of natty facial hair. Rumour has it he was not born, but hatched from an egg and was raised by wolves. He's a technical son of a gun, with a massive repository of knowledge about the tiniest of micro systems through to full multi room and home cinema custom installations and is a bit of a telly buff too. When not surrounded by huge speakers at work, Chris surrounds himself with huge speakers playing in a post-metal band (no, we're not sure what that is either,) or wanders around the Peak District looking grim. Don't be put off by the beard though, Chris is friendly as anything, come have a chat and see!

Ben, Sales ConsultantWith his wealth of home cinema knowledge, longstanding colleague Ben would be an asset to any team, (except possibly Chelsea FC, too much chance of him 'accidentally' scoring own goals.) As Ben would say himself, home cinema is his passion and putting together a fantastic system to meet any requirements is not a problem, as well as making sure the shop is always a really clean, pleasant environment and brewing an amazing cup of tea.

His dedicated home cinema room, complete with 7.1 speaker setup is quite rightly the envy of all his friends and is a project he's spent most of his spare time (not to mention cash!) on for a few years now. He's currently putting the in-depth staff training and expert knowledge we're internationally renowned for to very good use so he can get those final tweaks and upgrades to his pride and joy just right.
