Rated 5 out of 5 by Pete0121 At this price it's a no brainier !
Bought these as I needed a small set due to the missus not wanting the newly decorated living room dominated by lots of "black ugly boxes" so after reading the reviews I finally decided on the Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 and I'm so glad I did.
I wasn't really expecting much due to their size and price but I have to say they are excellent performers far more focused when the volume increases then I expected never sounding flabby or thin just basically musical.
Enough about the speakers just buy them you won't regret it and if you've made it this far into the reviews you will already have your finger hovering over the purchase icon and are probably wondering if you could maybe find them cheaper elsewhere........... you can't I looked and I have to say the speed that they arrived at my door made me thankful I bought from richer sounds, just make sure you order some good quality speaker cable (it's cheap enough) and enjoy listening to your music with fresh ears they are that good.

Rated 5 out of 5 Amazing sound for the size and price
I purchased these speakers along with the Denon DM39, and they're perfect for the job.
I'm not going to draw comparisons with my high end hi-fi (Linn, Arcam, Naim and Monitor Audio GR60?s), as the total cost of this little Denon/Wharfdale set up is just a fraction of the cost of my other stuff, and less than the cost of my headphone amp. However, I bought this as a low cost small system to go into the extension of my house, and it?s just great.
I popped each of the Diamonds on top of 4 small upturned wood screws to provide some isolation from the big unit they're sitting on them, and they sound amazing for the size.
I listen to classical, rock, blues, etc., and my daughter happily drives her pop ?stuff? through them. Everyone?s happy, so long as she keeps the volume down a bit!
Thanks also to Michael at Richer Sounds in Watford for the assistance over the phone and in the store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PedroR BETTER THAN ITS SIZE AND PRICE
Build quality is great for this price. I was expecting plastic rims around the drivers and on the bass port, but I was surprised to see that it is all solid metal. With a fabric tweeter and a kevlar woofer there?s nothing to complain about on build quality.
The sound will improve a bit after some running-in time.
You will definitely get better results if you place these speakers at least 15-20 inches away from the rear wall. Too near the rear wall and you will get too strong and indistinct bass.
Install them on speaker stands, position them at ears height, with a slight toe-in and you will get great results.
Bass drivers are small, so you won't feel them on your chest, but you will definitely hear them! And these speakers will play lower frequencies than many other speakers of similar size. They sound big and it's all there.
I am extremely pleased with the helpful customer service at the Weybridge shop.
I highly recommend their service and I will return there in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wrongsideof40 Way better than expected
Purchased these as a "make do" temporary pair for a secondary system and have been blown away by how good these can sound. Though very compact they manage to sound big, with a convincing, but not overblown or stodgy bass. They image well and present a clean sound, but need partnering well to get the best out of them. A warm or smooth front end will make these sound lacking in sparkle or openess, but put a neutral to bright front end with them (via a decent amp) and they will sparkle and give a sound that deserves to be called high fidelity. Don't skimp on speaker leads either, QED 79 strand works well. One negative; the terminals are fiddly. Best to invest in a set of banana plugs. They sound better as they break in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Toldgit Small package, big sound.
Excellent service, from Richer Sounds and DPD.
Great value speakers now installed as rears in my home theatre system, upgrading from the Onkyo package ones.
They will need a bit of running in to achieve the full tonal range associated with the legendary Diamond range but even now the sound quality is impressive..
If you're looking for a compact quality budget speaker, look no further.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashf Lovely speaker for the price....
But I think I should have spent a little more and gone for a better speaker
As good as these are, they are slightly lacking at the top end treble and as I have a sub, this does seem to be a little lacking
They produce a lovely sound but I think I will use these as rears and get the mission mx1 soon
For £40 though they are a super speaker! Although I note the price has gone up recently!
