Ortofon’s 2MR models use a slimline body for full compatibility with low-profile turntables. With its near-flush stylus fitting and absence of spacers, it saves 3mm in height over the regular version – making all the difference with fitting some tonearms.
Superior Moving Magnet sound quality
If you’re using a Moving Magnet phonostage then the Ortofon 2MR Bronze presents a significant upgrade in sound quality. Suitable for decks costing right up to £1000 - £2000, the 2MR Bronze can withstand many upgrades to the rest of your kit before it’s out of its depth. It gives an extremely precise and detailed sound that reveals subtle details in the music you may never even knew where there.
Fine Line diamond
With just the Black above this cartridge in the 2MR range, the 2MR Bronze is a top performer. Using an expensive Fine Line diamond that drops deep into the record’s groove, the 2MR bronze pulls out far more detail than lesser cartridges.
