From the very start of their career with Richer Sounds (and every day after that) our team gets hands-on with the latest equipment. For us, this technology is more than the sum of its parts – it can bring hours of joy and entertainment! And we want to make this thrill as easy as possible for you to achieve.
From day one
All new team members come along to a multi-day training seminar. Here they learn the building blocks that will blossom into their expert knowledge. They are then fully immersed in all the latest and greatest technology, which is as much fun as it sounds!
Doing things a bit differently
Our stores open at noon for a good reason: all our staff receive in-depth training on new products on a daily basis. We spend many hours a week learning about everything we offer. This gives us up-to-date knowledge on the latest cutting-edge developments in the world of TV, home cinema and hi-fi.
However, to give you the best service possible, our in-store teams will answer the phones, irrespective of our opening times, from 9am Monday to Saturday, and 11am on a Sunday.
Training from those in the know
Our stores regularly receive training sessions from other experts in the business too. We call these ‘coffee mornings’, where we invite manufacturers in to host training talks. We have everyone from TV giants Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and LG, to companies specialising in more niche products, such as complete-home installation and distribution networks.
We even have sessions with companies specialising in equipment for professional environments and PA systems, meaning that no-matter what your requirements may be, we’re in the best position to help.
Technology that works for you
With the ever-changing world of technology, we always like to be ahead of the curve. That’s why we all complete weekly training in Smart home and installations. This involves everything from Google Home and Alexa, to learning about the recent developments in Smart home infrastructures, and complete home automation. If you come down to one of our branches, there’s a chance you’ll bump into one of our Field Sales Managers. These are our crack team of in-store advisors who can organise a free, no obligation at-home or workplace visit (10 mile radius, negotiable at manager’s discretion). This means you get all of our expert knowledge, with maximum convenience. This personal service lets us assess your needs, recommending the most suitable tech for you, your space and your budget.
Away days and roadshows
We regularly attend training sessions held by our brand partners. This includes attending shows, where we learn in-depth info on new products and get hands-on with the tech.
Our in-store teams also get invited to the head-office of some of these companies, where we learn direct from the people that make the kit we sell.
One big family
Once a year, all our store Managers and Deputy Managers come together for a multi-day training seminar. Here they learn and share tips and skills, plus the latest developments in TV, home cinema and hi-fi. We also invite manufacturers in to tell us about their new and exciting equipment, meaning we’re amongst the first to learn about new products – before they even hit our shelves!
These sessions are filmed, so we can share the knowledge with the rest of our in-store and Telesales teams, as well as our support staff and customer service department.
