Hi-res sound via USB
Connect up to your computer via USB and you can stream High Resolution music files for the very best sound quality. High Resolution Audio support for file sizes up to 24bit/192kHz provides a much more detailed and smoother sound than CD (16bit/44.1kHz). The difference between Hi Res music and typical MP3/ACC compressed music files is even greater, with Hi Res music offering a deeper and wider sound stage, more precise imaging and, above all, a far greater sense of realism.

Amazing unit!
I’ve had speaker cable that cost more than this (per metre) it’s a fabulous little machine!
Having moved houses, the wife persuaded me to part with my beloved multi thousand pound, but very large separates system, so ‘made do’ with a Naim Muso, until I bought one of these! I now have 3 by the way, but, I’ve found that it sounds it’s best when paired with
the 3 way super tweeter speakers originally supplied with it, it’s not bad with other
speakers, I have one of them driving some Wharfedale Diamonds, but it lacks the sparkle enabled by the super tweeter, which goes up way past the normal 20khz or thereabouts.
I’m using it with some inexpensive Van Damme Hifi range 4mm speaker cable, also with some recently purchased QED Silver Anniversary XT actually‘burning in’ as I type, the speakers are on Atacama Nexus stands, which actually cost more than the head unit of the system, and I use it with a REL Quake sub woofer, again costing a lot more than the main unit, am I cheating and giving it an unfair advantage over just the Panny as it stands?
Probably, but when you hear what this tiny little unit is capable of, it’s worth it!
Incidentally, I find that to my ears it sounds it’s best with the preset EQ set to Clear, ‘D Bass ‘ on, and flat on the bass and treble controls.
I’ve spent silly amounts on hifi, and with this unit have at last found that you don’t need to!

Great little hi fi for the money
Given the range of expensive hi fi units available, I was a little unsure what to expect from the Panasonic. For the money it is excellent value and perfect if you are looking for a decent quality all-in unit for a kitchen or utility room. It was simplicity itself to set up and the sound is more than adequate. Controls are quite easy to get to grips with and are quite intuitive. If you are looking for a reasonable priced second unit you cannot go far wrong with the Panasonic.

Practical, good value, but disappointed by sound q
I bought this to replace an old hifi separates system. We are are really pleased with the compact design and functionality. For the cost its very good value but I was a bit disappointed with the sound. It lacks the richness and clarity of my old system even though I'm putting it through the same old speakers. Once you crank up the volume it sounds harsher and more boomy. However, this is perhaps the enivatable compromise of switching to a small inexpensive unit. On medium volumes it is OK. Another niggle is the lack of any balance control.

Good sound, exactly what I needed.
Wanted small system for conservatory. I listen to a wide range of music, classical, brass bands, pop and rock.this handles it all along with the Warfdale speakers.

Good value and sounds great.
I bought this from the Nottingham store to replace an old, now faulty, Teac unit that I use in the bedroom. Installation is very straight forward, and the little booklet that comes with the unit is easy to understand. Once the little plastic centre bungs are gently eased from the speaker terminals, the unit will accept standard banana plugs. And storing radio stations in the presets is very simple, even for DAB, which is not always the case with some DAB tuners. The CD tray looks a bit flimsy, but if you treat it normally I wouldn't expect any problems. The USB input worked fine when I tried it, and its handy to have. So, for the price, I would say this is good value.
