Sensational sound quality
Designed with an emphasis on audio, the Pioneer BDPLX58 is a beguiling music player. Connected to a suitable Pioneer AV receiver it delivers a smooth and natural sound, yet even with other brands, thanks to a high quality Sabre32 ES9011 DAC, it gives crystalline levels of resolution and sonic accuracy. The result is an 'inky' black backdrop against which the subtlest notes can clearly be heard.

With its 4K 60p (HDMI 2.0) output and upscaling, the Pioneer BDPLX58 is perfect partner for your 4K TV. Universal compatibility
As well as Blu-ray, DVD and CDs, it also plays SACDs and DVD-Audio discs. These formats are capable of some of the highest quality audio possible and a vital part of many music collections. Just as important is the ability to play FLAC, ALAC, LPCM (WAV) and AIFF and multichannel files (FLAC, DSD, and WAV), right up to 192 kHz/24 bit resolution. Comprehensive connectivity
Use the LAN connection or optional Wi-Fi dongle to connect to your home network. You've then access to the best of the web via apps such as YouTube and Picasa, or streamed content from your PC or media server via DLNA. And it's all easy to control via Pioneer's unique Apple/Android control app, iControl. Twin HDMI sockets are handy if you're using twin screens or have an older, non-3D equipped AV receiver, while twin USB ports situated front and rear offer a wide range of connectivity options.

Picture quality has to be seen
Well before getting this I was checking out all of the reviews of higher end blu ray players and with the demise of my LG 3D Sound Stage, along with a desire to add a CD player to my separates, I decided to invest on this unit. I know it is not a 4K player but the upscaling is so clear to see with every movie looking far batter than we have been used to. It has also allowed me to connect it to the stereo speakers and so reduce the number of boxes dotted around.

Very good product
Pleased with the product fits in well with my other Pioneer hi fi separates.
Takes a little bit of time to master the various features and custom settings but working very well in all respects.

I am very impressed with this pioneer disc player, it plays all the formats you could wish for with excellent user features, and has a full sound reproduction which for the price is good value for money......Highly recommended.

can't be faulted so far
A new tele required a new 4k blu-ray so i went for this over other models on staff recommendation. The only problem I had was fitting it under the TV as it's SO big. All my other equipment needed juggling around to accommodate it. Apart from that small inconvenience I can't fault it in anyway. The build quality really is superb ,even down to the quietist disc tray opening ever.
