Dedicated CD player
Unlike many CD players, rather than using a general purpose CD-ROM, the PD-10AE utilises a dedicated CD transport. The silent drive mechanism used in the PD-10AE is much quieter than most CD players are. It also delivers gapless playback for seamless sound with uninterrupted playback. Mounted in the centre of the player, the CD transport is in the perfect position for the least vibration – giving you the lowest distortion possible.

As well as a dedicated CD transport, the PD-10AE also benefits from many other high quality components. The AKM 24-bit/192 kHz DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) with high-precision clock gives a highly focused, life-like sound. The generous power supply means ample power is supplied to the electronics, helping to create a bold, dynamic sound.
Programmable features and dimmable display
For your convenience, the PD-10AE comes with a wide range of playback features, including random, repeat and memory functions. The clear display can be dimmed or even switched off entirely – perfect for reducing distractions in a darkened room.
CD-RW and MP3 playback
The PD-10AE also shows great versatility in playing back discs. As well as standard CDs and CD-Rs, it’s also compatible with CD-RW and MP3 encoded discs, letting you easily playback your own recordings.

I was looking for a CD player to replace my defunked Sony, saw the Pioneer on line at Richer Sounds, which I purchased. This unit looks the 'part' and matches visually with the Yamaha AV receiver I have, the system is easy to operate and playback sound is excellent.

Easy to use
I bought it to enjoy my CDs on . And I'm glad I did it's really easy to set up and use . Plus it has a remote control which is a good bonus

Definite upgrade and great sound
I replaced my Yamaha CD player after problems with the CD tray opening and considered a few before deciding on the Pioneer, following reviews on the Richer Sounds website; I always buy my hifi from Richer Sounds as they have the best range and prices. It is a definite upgrade; clear sound and ease of use. Just miss a headphone socket.

Dedicated CD player
For sometime I had been using a CD / DVD player and needed a change checked around and found Pioneer made one which fitted in nicely with my other separate units so proceeded to purchase Pioneer PD-10AE from Richer Sounds as I purchased almost all of my previous hifi equipment from there before.
Great company to deal with CD arrived we within stated time and sounds great.

budget but great cd player £179.. model PD-10-AE
i WENT THROUGH ALL THE ON LINE REVIEWS AND THEY WERE ALL EXCELLENT .. IT HAS THE RED WHITE AUDIO LEADS ONLY ,BUT THAT'S FINE .. ALSO NO HEADPHONE SOCKET , BUT ON YOUR AMP OR RECEIVER YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE THESE .. ITS A HEAVY VERY STRONG BUILT UNIT .. NOT THE PLASTICKY POORLY MADE STUFF THAT'S OUT THERE.. love it and richer sounds price was very competitive .. I like it lots for a budget well built player
