Fully automatic design
With its fully automatic design, the Pro-Ject A1 is the ideal turntable for fuss-free playback. Simply select the speed – 33 or 45 – then select ‘start’ and let the tonearm and motor do their thing. At the end of the record, the tonearm lifts and returns to its rest. You can skip tracks by using the manual lift as you would with a manual turntable.

High quality design
By using a high quality, mechanical mechanism, the A1 doesn’t suffer from the sound degrading compromises of other, electronically controlled fully automatic decks.

Vibration resistant construction
With anti-resonant materials used throughout, the A1 gives smooth, low distortion sound. Featuring a wooden plinth, damped metal platter and silicon-damped feet, the A1 has what it takes to resist vibrations that can afflict the sound and, at worst, even cause the stylus to skip.

Built-in phonostage
Another handy feature with the A1 is a built-in phonostage (also known as a phono pre-amp). This means you can wire the deck up to any hi-fi system with an ‘AUX’ input. Alternatively, the A1 can still be wired into a phono input, just as with any other deck.

Ortofon OM10 cartridge supplied
Part of the standard package includes a pre-fitted Ortofon OM10 cartridge. Highly regarded, this quality budget cartridge gives a smooth, detailed sound that’s at home with all types of music. As part of the Optimum Match (OM) range, the stylus is upgradable to 20, 30 and 40 models, giving plenty of scope for future upgrading.

Premium interconnect cable included
Unlike most hi-fi components, the A1 is supplied with a good quality interconnect, straight out of the box. The Connect-IT E phono cable features semi-symmetrical construction with substantial shielding, meaning it rejects electrical interference, reducing the chances of audible hum and buzz. 24k gold-plated plugs give a low resistance connection for the best transfer of sound.
