Get to know your samsung smart thing app also tv's
Took a few days to get to know how to get the best out if it, but it really feels like I'm in the cinema now IF the movie I'm watching has Dolby atmos, if not you could be mistaken for thinking the speakers aren't working properly.
I've got the subwoofer plus back speakers.
The surround sound did drop a few times to adaptive sound mode, but I went into my samsung tv's sound settings and adjusted from tv and sound bar setting - to just soundbar setting, then went back into my samsung smart thing app and changed back to surround sound setting and that sorted things out.

Why Samsung UK why
Samsung are short changing UK and US customers by leaving out features such as Google assistant and Chromecast. At the same time provide no satisfactory answer as to when it will be added by software or why this restriction is in place.

Solid for movies. Weak for everything else
I normally don't write reviews but I feel for a top end Soundbar this is giving me mixed feelings so would want to share my experience with everyone before digging (deep) into their wallets
I have a 2023 top end non Samsung TV so no wireless Atmos nor Q symphony.
My experience might not be the same as someone with the whole Samsung ecosystem.
Movies 10/10
Can't fault the experience, does what it says . Fills the room nicely with a wide, top, rear and rear top sound stage.
The Spacefit technology seems like abit of a gimmick , as I don't actually notice the difference. My room is rectangular with my screen and bar right in the middle front wall so maybe Spacefit only works with irregular shaped rooms. I prefer to tune the individual channels to suit my personal needs. This soundbar can also tune the front wide top rear rear top individually so it's a win for me .
Now the bads
Music 3/10
Spotify can only so connected via Bluetooth and it's limited to 2.1 with no option to upmix and make use of all the speaker units .
Sounds muffled and just a poor experience . My Google nest speaker is better at delivering music at a 100th of the price .
WiFi connection 1/10
Useless . Only using it to connect to smart things as a remote control. Other than that .. it's a useless thing. Alexa music , same experience as above. Don't see why google home and Google cast isn't licensed on this top end Soundbar . Silly licencing war at the end , consumer lost.
Gaming 6/10
No 4k 120fps passthough. Not quite an issue to myself. As I have a non Samsung gaming TV . With plenty of hdmi alongside eArc.
Ps5, easy to set up set it on the PS5 as AV but the same as many people have mentioned, central speaker seems muffled. Changing the PS5 option from PCM 7.1 to Atmos helps but not a great deal . Could be issue with TV not being Samsung TV so can't take advantage of the q symphony. It sounds like maybe the muffled or missing sound is set aside to make Q symphony to sound better maybe.
The hardware is solid but the software side makes this 10/10 soundbar seemed like an unfinished product.

Should be great, but it's a frustrated refund now
Fantastic upgrade until the intermittent muffled centre speaker issue cropped up. Mentioned many times here and on other forums. Disappointing that despite upgraded fully to the Nov 23 firmware, 4 different sets of certified hdmi 2.1 cables and attempted from Android tv, a shield pro, and PC device the issue is the same. Resetting fixes it for a few minutes to hours, so clearly a firmware glitch. Sending it back with regret and significant disappointment, a poor effort for a serially identified issue samsung.

Not compatible with the PS5 and Xbox Series X
Not compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Multichannel LPCM isn't supported via eARC, even with compatible Samsung TV's. When you play games in LPCM it outputs to Stereo and when you switch the games console to Dolby Digital or DTS the middle speaker is quiet and echoey and gets totally drowned out by all the other speakers. This also means you cannot play any video game in Dolby Atmos unless you transcode somewhere in the chain as games use Dolby MAT which is a metadata over multi channel LPCM. My Samsung Q70R soundbar from 2019 has no issues with LPCM, Dolby Digital or DTS. For Samsung to put out soundbars in 2023 that do not even support the basic sound formats and aren't really compatible with modern games consoles is an absolute joke. So, yeah, if you want to pay a premium price for a stereo soundbar then go right ahead. But if you want a soundbar that does stereo, LPCM, DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos then look elsewhere because this isn't it. Utterly flabbergasted at what Samsung have done here.

Really disappointing
Doesn't pass multi channel PCM despite having a compatible Samsung TV. When playing the PS5 and setting it to Dolby Digital 7.1 the centre speaker is quiet. When playing Dead Island 2 and facing people who are taking to you the centre channel is really quiet. Turn away to the left or right and the characters voices become much louder and clearer in other speakers on the soundbar. When playing Need 4 Speed you can barley hear the car's engine from the centre channel. Turn the camera and you can hear the car engine clearly in the other speakers. On doing some searching I see others are having the same issues. With stereo content it's fine It's just multi channel PCM that's the problem. I'm really disappointed with my purchase as my previous Samsung soundbar doesn't have this issue.

Too many issues
Too many issues. The middle speaker keeps going muffled and makes voices sound quiet to the point you almost can't hear what's being said. The other speakers are loud and clear, it's just the middle speaker. From what I can tell, it does it with all content apart from Stereo PCM. One thing I have noticed is when playing the PlayStation 5 and setting the audio to 5.1 within the PlayStation 5 settings the voices in the middle speaker are muffled and quiet. But when setting the audio to 7.1 it corrects the issue for some reason. It doesn't matter whether you use PCM or Dolby Digital 5.1 the outcome is the same. Setting it to 7.1 corrects it with the PlayStation 5. I can't find a fix for watching YouTube and other content. I've tried factory resets of the soundbar and my 55" Samsung QN90B TV but it doesn't work. Unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in fixes the issue for a short while before it reverts back. I've also tried 4 different HDMI cables. I will taking the soundbar back to the shop I bought it from and getting a refund.
