Three columns for rigidity
Designed for a precise and tuneful sound, these 'open' type speaker stands offer superb rigidity while still offering the taut and detailed sound typical of this type of stand. Triple columns ensure an impressively stable base, keeping your speakers perfectly supported and able to offer their best performance.
Column damping
The latest Z2 stands also feature column damping. This reduces 'ringing' resonances for enhanced sonic accuracy. The built-in damping also alleviates the need to add a separate filling to the stands.
Top and base spikes
For the best isolation and stand stability it's best to use base spikes. The spikes supplied with the Z2 stands can be adjusted from the top, making it easy to get the spikes perfectly adjusted for a level and stable support. The Z2 also comes with the option of using top spikes. While these won't suit all speakers and will mark their base, they do enhance the clarity of many speakers by further isolating the speaker from stand, reducing bass 'boom' and resonance.
Q Acoustic friendly
If you use Q Acoustic 1010i or 1020i speakers then these stands are tailor-made. The top plate bolts to the base of the speaker for a perfect mechanical connection with the further benefit of perfect visual alignment.
