9.2 channels for enveloping sound
With no fewer than 9.2 channels of sound, the Yamaha RX-A6A opens up a new realm of possibilities. With a 5.2.4 configuration, you can use four ceiling speakers for the ultimate in Atmos and DTS:X sound. 7.2.2 gives a wider spread of sound around the room yet still retains twin ceiling speakers. For the largest rooms and non-Atmos systems, 9.2 channels gives totally immersive sound.

Upgrade to 11-channel sound for cinematic immersion
Add an extra stereo power amp for next level surround sound. Configure four ceiling or Atmos-enabled speakers as well as full, 7-channel surround sound. Alternatively, use two Atmos speakers and enjoy a broad soundstage with 'front wide speakers' forming a 9.2.2 system. If you don't fancy a Dolby Atmos specific system but want the most immersive sound possible, go for an 11.2 configuration. This offers 7.2 sound with the addition of front width and front height speakers.

High power output

Powerful processing from the DSP (Digital Sound Processor) analyses scenes in real time and then adjusts the surround effect in real time. By focusing on distinct sounds, such as dialogue, background music and sound effects, the RX-A6A automatically optimises the sound for incredible realism.

Featuring an XLR balanced interface, the RX-A6A is capable of pro-level connectivity. XLR connections feature additional shielding, making them more resistant to electrical interference. As well as seven HDMI inputs, this Yamaha AVR also has a wide range of other AV connectivity. Component and composite inputs cover classic video sources.
