For two sound characteristics within one machine, the SE300 has both Class A and Class AB amplifiers built-in. For a smooth and warm analogue sound, the Class A amp is truly mellifluous. Ideal for use with more efficient headphones and acoustic music, it makes for sound to relax to. The Class AB amp has a more powerful and upfront sound that best suits less efficient headphones and harder-edged music. For further fine-tunning, you can switch between High and Normal Gain settings.

TERATON Alpha technology for ultimate sound and efficiency
TERATON Alpha is AK’s ultimate, technical solution for optimising sound quality whilst reducing noise, distortion and power consumption. Through tens of thousands of hours R&D, AK’s engineers have refined the audio power supply, amplifier and interface. Support up to 384kHz/32-bit audio and Native DSD256
With support for files up to 384kHz/32-bit, bit to bit playback, the SE300 plays back the highest quality files, bit perfectly. As an alternative to PCM sampling, many of the large music labels, including Sony, support DSD files. DSD is renowned for its huge dynamic range, ‘inky’ quiet backdrop and subtle detail that gives music ‘life’ and realism. The SE300 offers native DSD support up to DSD256. Finally, MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) file types are also supported.

Install the music apps you want
Using the improved Open APP service, you can install the music apps you want on the player. These include favourites such as Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Prime Music and TuneIn Internet radio.

BT sink for wireless music transfer
With the BT sink function, you can now wirelessly stream music to the SE300, similar to the way the player streams to your wireless headphones or Bluetooth speaker. Simply pair with your music device, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop and stream the music across – wirelessly.

256GB built-in memory
Featuring 256GB of internal memory, the SE300 stores around 2500 tracks (24 bit/96kHz, 4 minute-long, 90MB) - ample for a substantial HiRes music library. Add an optional 1TB microSD card and this extends to 1.25TB, putting a lifetime’s music collection on your portable.
