Underneath the Pro-Ject Phono Box S2, you’ll find a series of micro switches for precise cartridge matching. Adjustable settings include input gain, capacitance and impedance, with the manual illustrating suggested settings for popular Ortofon cartridges. By optimising the sound from your specific cartridge, you'll discover a resolution and level of detail that might previously have been masked.

Switchable subsonic filter
With some speakers you might find subsonic noise causes a real problem. You’ll see the bass cones moving wildly as they struggle to reproduce inaudibly deep bass sounds. Cutting in below 20Hz, the subsonic filter protects the woofers from wear and tear and ensures the bass you do hear is less distorted.
