A step up in sound quality
Featuring an elliptical stylus, the Audio Technica AT-VM95E is a great upgrade over standard cartridges. Compared to more basic conical cartridges, the elliptical stylus on the VM95E literally gets deeper into the groove – pulling out more music. Top end frequency response is improved, giving more detail and a more natural and spacious sound. By increasing the surface area contact and spreading the load, the stylus’ finer profile also does less damage to your precious vinyl collection. The 4.0mV output is widely compatible with most MM phono pre-amps, making this cartridge ideal for any turntable and amp combo.
Upgradable stylus
When the stylus is due for replacement or as an upgrade at any time, there are three stylus upgrades available. Ranging from the impressive VMN95EN right up to the top quality VMN95SH with Shibata stylus, there’s plenty of upgrade potential to be had. (Upgrade styli models, AT-VMN95EN, AT-VMN95ML, AT-VMN95SH and AT-VMN95SP (78-rpm) all available via special order).
Optional 78rpm stylus
If you swap between 78 and 33/45 records, then why not get a dedicated 78rpm stylus. Designed to fit 78s’ groves more accurately, the VMN95SP stylus simply clicks into place and is a moment’s job to switch over.
Upgrade to DJ quality stylus
This flexible cartridge even accepts Audio Technica’s semi-pro stylus range. Ideal for DJ use, the ATN-XP7, XP5 and XP3 (all available via special order) are all ideal for DJ use. Simply click them into place and you’ll have a cartridge capable of withstanding the rigours of high tracking force weights and back-cueing.

New stylus brings old turntable back to life.
I bought this new stylus for an old Technics 1210 turntable that I’ve had for 30 years since the mid ‘90s. In the past, I had Stanton needles for heavier DJ type use. Now I just want to listen to vinyl at home, old and new records. Very pleased with shop advice and the stylus. Fitted it and now enjoying records again - with good sound.

Upgrade stylus
Having just bought a turntable from Richer Sounds I wanted to upgrade the stylus and although not in store they ordered and was delivered the next day. Great service. I would not go anywhere else.

Great sound quality
Decided to replace the cartridge on my deck. Read all the reviews and spoke to John on telesales, very helpful, and went with this. Arrived next day. Replaced the cartridge and pleased that this was far less fiddly than the old one. Really pleased with the sound quality, a big improvement on the old.

A great, simple upgrade
Perfect upgrade for my Rega Planar 1. Not too scary to fit (long time listener, first time cartridge upgrader), and makes a lovely sound. Thanks to Terry for the advice!

Really helpful
Have inherited a vinyl deck and amp but needed to to replace stylus and/cartridge shell - not having owned a deck for years needed lots of advice. Got this at Richer Sounds - member of staff really helpful and I didn’t feel like an idiot asking for such basic advice! Walked out of the store with the kit I needed and the idea that I would use the store again in the future as the first port of call.
