”There’s a tangibility to voices and instruments that makes this an extremely engaging pairing to listen to for extended periods.” ’AV Forums’ – Highly Recommended. Tested with A11 Tribute amplifier.
Tuned by audio legend, Ken Ishiwata
As one of the final projects that audio legend, Ken Ishiwata, worked on, this Rotel CD player is a true tribute to one of the hi-fi greats. Featuring upgrades, including improved capacitors, to the DAC and power supply, the CD11 Tribute delivers improved precision and accuracy. Modifications to the damping in the casing reduces distortion, giving an even more lifelike sound.
An impressive starting point
As the basis for a tuning project, the Rotel CD11 was always a great place to start. Developed from the CD14, the CD11 model has a quality Burr-Brown DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) at its heart. Combined with the centrally mounted, tray-based transport system, it delivers the perfect start for sound that’s high in detail and low in distortion.
High connectivity
Useful connections include a choice of analogue and coaxial digital outs – ideal for all types of amps and AV receivers. More unusually, there are also RS232 and 12-volt trigger sockets, both of which lend themselves to multi-room home entertainment applications. The Rotel Link connection is perfect for connecting a complete Rotel system and controlling via a single remote.
Handy features
A wide range of features includes 20-track programming, CD Text display, a dimmable display and a comprehensive remote control.
Impressive design
Built to Rotel’s high standards, the CD11 Tribute is impressively solid. The clean, minimalist styling is timeless and matches a wide range of other components. Choose between black and silver for the best fit with your other hi-fi components.
Hear every last drop of detail from your CDs, with the Rotel CD11 Tribute.

Great sound
After playing my CDs on my new Rotel CD11 Tribute for a week, I am very impressed with the results. It brings out a greater range and subtlety of sound I than had ever experienced using any of the CD players I have used over the last 30+ years.

Excellent CD player, punches above its weight
I chose the Rotel CD11 Tribute after reviewing several similar priced CD players. The Tribute really does excel in sound and quality.

Good quality CD Player
Only now had the chance to set up Rotel CD11 Tribute and given a quick listen, to , I’m very pleased and impressed by how good this player is listened through Rotel 1570 amp and B&W CM8’s In my honest opinion I’d definitely recommend the CD11 Tribute well worth the money.

Pleased overall
I have only just received this so have only used it for an hour. Overall I am very happy with it but there are a few niggles. The power cord is rather short so I had to plug it into an extension lead; the user manual is on a USB stick; there is no track information (not sure if this is the CD player or the CDs I played); a little sluggish in loading CDs. Having said this, it is a good, simple CD player and I am happy otherwise with its performance and value for money.

A Really Good All Round CD Player
I bought this deck last Tuesday and I've now had the time to put it through its paces. I bought it to replace a Marantz 7000 CD recorder which recently 'died'. The Rotel CD11 Tribute is a very marked improvement on the old Marantz as I would expect; it has a really good all round sound (I listen to a broad range of music from '20s jazz and blues through to Rock, Reggae and Classical). A solid bass, warm mid-range and a clean high end. It sounds fine through my Elac book shelf speakers and stunning through my 1960s Tannoy monitors using an oldish Cambridge Azur amp. The machine's build quality is very good and it is surprisingly heavy for its size. There are a couple of things to watch out for - the CD tray if left open for over three or four minutes closes itself which could be a problem if this should happen whilst inserting a disc. Other reviewers have noted this, also that the tray itself does not fully extend so a little extra care needs to be taken when placing a disc in it - I don't find either of these things a major issue.
I also use a Tascam RW900 CD recorder and I've done sevaral AB comparisons using copies of the same CD on both machines. I found very little difference but with the Rotel having a slightly better/wider sound stage.
Given the current bargain price of the silver version of this player I highly recommend it, for me its a no-brainer. I did initially try to purchase the Rotel vie tele sales but they insisted that both the black and silver versions were the same price. A little perturbed, I contacted the Chester branch who confirmed that the silver model was still thirty pounds cheaper and so I bought the machine from them by phone. It arrived the next day even though I didn't select next day delivery! A great buying experience and thank you to the staff at Chester.

Delivery
Couldn't fault home⁹ delivery. Came next day, emailed delivery time, which was kept to. Fab. Have only played one CD, which sounded good, so cannot rate the product until I have time to properly test it.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
My Cambridge CD player had given up the ghost after some 20 years. I was reluctant to pay the high cost of a direct replacement. Richer Sounds (in Southwark London) spent time with me to discuss my needs even though they knew any eventual sale would be in my home town in YORK. They recommended Rotel CD11, compatible with my cambridge Amplifier, but at a far more competitive price.
