Fully equipped - Electronic speed control and built-in phono stage

Electronic speed control locks on to the precise speed required, giving perfect pitch. It’s also easy to change from 33 to 45; simply push a button, rather than having to change the belt from one pulley to another. The switchable, built-in phono stage makes it possible to connect the Attessa Turntable to any Hi-Fi or speaker system with an AUX input.

Isolated against vibrations for reduced distortion
Using isolation feet and chassis design inspired by Roksan’s flagship Xerxes model, the Attessa is well protected against surface vibrations. Controlling and dampening vibrations helps reduce distortion, letting you hear subtle detail in the music that might otherwise be missing.

Premium engineering for detailed sound quality
Designed, developed and assembled in the UK, the Attessa turntable offers premium build quality for its class. Featuring an isolated single plinth, high mass platter and electronically controlled motor, the turntable is built to make the most of your vinyl. Renowned for their high levels of resolution and true-to-life sound, Roksan turntables are amongst the best in the business.

Stylish design
With its compact footprint and crisp style, the Attessa looks good without intruding. Available in classic and contemporary finishes, it’s a timeless design that exudes quality.

Sophisticated Unipivot tonearm delivers accurate tracking
Featuring a composite construction and glass jewel pivot, the Unipivot tonearm introduces high-end design to its class. Although they require a little more initial set-up time, Unipivot tonearms offer lower levels of bearing friction, letting the tonearm track the record more freely. The result is tracking accuracy that reveals the full extent of the music buried in the record’s groove.

Supplied with Dana MM cartridge
Supplied with the Roksan Dana cartridge, the Attessa Turntable is a complete turntable. The Dana cartridge perfectly matches the rest of the turntable’s sonic signature, with a highly resolved, vivid sound that digs out the detail from all your favourite tracks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The jury is still out... I bought this turntable as a replacement for an old TT I'd had for 15-20 years. It looks great but I have to admit that the set up of the 'tone arm' has had me befuddled. I got every available online video etc but somehow it still feels odd that it doesn't seem sturdy at all - almost shaky for want of a better term. Really difficult to select individual tracks on an LP. There is no earth cable and I find there is a bit of humming too if I tur the volume up a bit. These set up aspects could just be me and my lack of tech skills though and I'm telling myself that the sound is much better than my old one but really not 100% sure that is the case and I've definitely had more jumps and skips than ever before! I also don't like the fact the lid is not on hinges but that is a minor quibble. Overall for the price I think its a great looking TT but you have to be able to get over the fact that you have been used to a sturdy arm / needle for your whole life to be able to deal with this one. So I can't really say either way if I'd recommend it or not...but as you need to say Yes or No I'd probably say No (in my own low techy opinion) unless you feel confident with the different feel this 'arm / stylus' gives you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks and sounds awesome- some operational issues At £500 (£399 if you get the white one currently on sale) - you'd struggle to get a better looking and sounding deck for the money. It feels and looks premium and sounds very detailed with great instrument separation. The built in phono stage is really impressive, but i felt my external one just gave it a degree more oomph/body in the soundstage, but it was very close. For many people looking for a plug and play option the built in stage will be totally fine. This is the first niggle - as others have pointed out, changing the switch is incredibly fiddly - i needed a cocktail stick to get into the tiny resessed switch and a magnifying glass and torch to see it - it also feels like it might break if you used something like a screwdriver to change the setting. I've seen jumper switches on circuit boards more easy to adjust that this. Secondly, there's no obvious way to ground it when using an external phono stage. It might be that like some rega decks, it doesn't need additional grounding. I was able to ground my phone stage to the casing on my pre-amp which was additionally fiddly - possibly it wasn't necessary, but its not very quiet, with the only hum/noise coming through the speakers when ramping up the volume to near max - way beyond normal or even loud listening - its basically very quite at normal listening levels. Despite the stunning aesthitics and build, there are some operational niggles from my point of view. Firstly, the lid - its really great to have one, so hats off to Roksan for providing one, BUT its not attached to the turntable, so you have to fully remove it to play your records. I know audiophiles shout at you if you play records with the lids down, but without it being hinged mounted, you have to find somewhere to store the lid when you're playing a record as you can't play it with the lid on because the arm gets in the way - its such a minor irritation, but why they couldn't just add some hinge mounts is beyond me - so you could just open the lid and keep it open. Third niggle is its really fiddly to set the counter weight and balance the tone arm at the recommended 2 grams, its also made more tricky because the tone arm itself if basically floating and quite wobbly so you have make sure its properly seated - which is made even more ticky as its hard not to knock it when removing the lid as its a tight fit - basically its not a just problem, but on all my other decks - rega/project - the arms is essentially set and forget - this isn't. I don't want this review to sound too negative, because at the price this is one heck of a great turntable - for looks and sound it punches way way above its price point - BUT the operational issues make me have to give it four stars as a complete package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roksan Atessa turntable - a beauty to behold. Having researched turntables I was prepared for the Atessa to sound good. What delighted me was the design. In green it is a work of art. Normally retailing just under a grand it was more than my budget, and I was about to buy a lesser deck until I came across it on the Richer Sounds website for half that. Happy Christmas!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great sound let down by shocking engineering. On setting up this turntable I was grinning ear to ear, flabbergasted by the level of detail it pulled from my records. Something sounded 'off' though - there seemed to be dips in speed. Further investigation showed the platter had substantial wobble, which seemed to originate from the sub-platter. This caused noticeable 'wow' - worse than any tape deck I own, even! Richer Sounds were great sorting out a replacement. It arrived today and I set it up to find it has the exact same problem. The wobble is less pronounced on the second deck, and it has some problems with the tonearm which are proving difficult to rectify due to the fiddliness of adjusting the tonearm height. But regardless of these minor gripes, the basic fact that this turntable cannot reproduce a sustained note at a constant pitch, across two decks and multiple records and days of troubleshooting, means that I can't recommend it no matter how good the quality of the sound is. I find it staggering that a turntable with a £995 RRP cannot spin a record straight and level. So unfortunately this second deck will be going back for a refund - I won't waste any more time with Roksan in future if this is what they consider to be acceptable quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound, but a bit fiddly I got this last week, after a quick chat about the item on the phone I ordered it from the Middlesbrough store for home delivery and it arrived in less than 24 hours. Perfect. As someone who isn't experienced setting up higher end hi-fi equipment, I found it a bit fiddly to get sorted out, especially when having to adjust the height of the tone arm, which was a pain. After getting that sorted out I put a record on and I was very impressed with the sound. Listening to Digital Bath by Deftones, the snare drum sounds fantastic. As do the synths on John Carpenter's Halloween theme. I'm not someone who is good with words so I won't try and be clever, but what I can say is that it's a definite upgrade on my Teac TN-300, which I had always been very pleased with. The Heritage Green is a lovely colour, quite dark and understated. I'm running it through a FatMan Mi-Tube 2 with some Q Acoustic 3010i, so pretty low budget stuff compared to the turntable itself, so I can only imagine how much better it'll sound with a higher quality kit. Cheers RS, overall very happy with the purchase, the ease of purchase and the item itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Delivery! Great advice Was in the market for an upgrade for my turntable and after doing a fair bit of research zeroed my choices down to 2 . I rang RS to get some advice and they recommended this turntable which I hadn’t been aware of before! It was at a substantial discount and reviews were great! I must say it sounds great and was easier to set up than I expected. A real step up in sound. Looks great as well… looking forward to many hours of happy listening!
