The Sonos Roam Charging Base is tailor made for the Roam, continuing it’s sleek, slim lines. Available in black or white, it looks like part of the speaker when docked. Whenever you want to use the Roam indoors, the Charging Base makes the ideal home.

Featuring a magnetic ‘snap’ fit, the Roam docks securely with the Charging Base. Simply connect the Charging Base to a USB power outlet and you’re good to charge.

Once you’ve unboxed Roam, you can start charging using the included USB-C cable and a 7.5W (5V/1.5A) or higher USB power adapter. To set up Roam and connect it to your system, just open the Sonos S2 app while on WiFi and follow the prompts. When you’re ready to stream over Bluetooth, pair Roam with your mobile device by holding the power button until you hear the second chime.

Perfectly fit for purpose
The charger looks great, and the magnetic design is clever. It is not particularly quick at charging, but fulfils its purpose. Ordering and delivery from Richer Sounds was as usual excellent.

Best prices around with a quick and easy service
I wanted a charger for my SONOS and Richer Sounds were doing a decent amount of money off, plus an additional £5.00 if I joined their email list, so it was a no brainer. I placed the order and next day it was in my local store and ready for collection.

Excellent sound for its size and good connectivity
I purchased this as a bathroom speaker based on its water resistance rating - so far its done an excellent job paired with my Echo Show 15 over bluetooth. I also have this connected via wifi although Alexa can be a bit hit and miss with Sonos speakers. I already had a Sonos One Speaker so the Roam compliments it well - Sound quality is great but wasn’t expecting miracles due to its small size. It looks great paired with the wireless charger although it struggles to play and charge on it at the same time - when its dead, the wireless charger wont work at all so have found it needs plugged in with the USB C cable. Build quality is really nice and would definitely recommend

Neatly practical
Best way to keep the Roam battery healthy, and ready to go. Neat place for the Roam to live, when at home. Expensive, but worth it.
