The famous C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter now has a new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. This is designed to give a more natural and lifelike sound, with less distortion. The powerful 8" woofer cone features the latest version of Monitor Audio’s distinctive RST (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, RST II uses lightweight cones that are made more rigid by complex surface pressings. The result is sound that’s fast to respond and that gives a powerful sense of rhythm.

Sound is balanced bassy clear bright
I originally bought the bronze 100 monitor audio speakers which my dad liked so ended up getting the silver 100. First thing I noticed is the quality of the build and the sound is noticeably better. The bass and balance is more controlled. I traded in old speakers and got the denon headphones total for £650 which is a bargain just for the speakers at this price. I couldn’t be more happy

These replaced my KEF iQ5SE and I could not be happier. They sound warm and yet crisp and balanced all at the same time and deliver a much more powerful and transparent bass then the KEFs

Outstanding !!!
I have just had these delivered and almost burst into tears when I heard them in my own home! They are outstanding in my 16x12 room, delivering a realistic but powerful bass out of such small cabinets. Treble is what you would expect from the wonderful tweeters used by M.A., but most of all the spatial imagery, openness of the soundstage and tightness of every note. Coupled with my Cambridge amp & CD and my Roksan turntable, these are the speakers I needed to complete my system.
It is many years since I owned hifi that was this good. They are brilliant value and deliver on every check box on my list

Great pairing for my Rega Brio
Spent nearly 2 hours demoing various speakers around this price point with my Rega Brio and turntable. The guys at the Southampton store were great, let me bring my own kit and get on with it. There weren’t any objectively bad speakers to my ears but the Silver 100 7g stood out as sounding best. They sounded more dynamic than the LS50s, had a fair bit more at the bottom end and despite this it felt as though the Brio was having an easier time driving them. Glad I demonstrated a variety of speakers as i went in thinking i’d like and buy the Kefs. Have had them set up for a few days now and i’m busy revisiting my entire vinyl collection.
