AKG’s studio heritage shines through with the Hi-Res compatible sound quality, too, with a Spatial Sound option for even more enveloping sound. Optimised for call handling, they also make the ideal headphones for staying connected.
Choice of wireless connectivity
For a superior wireless connection, the AKG N5 headphones are supplied with a USB-C dongle (and USB-A adapter). Connect this to your compatible device, such a smartphone or laptop and you can enjoy low latency, wireless sound via 2.4GHz streaming. For maximum versatility, the N5’s also connect via Bluetooth 5.3.

To make the most of the top quality wireless signal, the N5 headphones benefit from AKG’s 10mm DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) drivers. These deliver a rich bass with clear vocals and sparkling top end detail. Hi-Res Audio compatibility is available via the cable or Bluetooth LDAC connections, with outstanding 24-bit sound for stunning detail and the lowest distortion.
Immersive Spatial Audio
Alongside AKG’s pristine sound performance, the N5’s also offer the option of Spatial Audio. This feature transforms standard stereo content into virtual surround sound, with a more enveloping soundstage that wraps around your head.
Adaptive Noise Cancellation with custom control
With Adaptive Noise Cancellation, you get to hear how much of the outside world you want to hear. You can either manually select the level via the AKG Headphone app or select Auto Compensation, which uses four mics to automatically detect the environmental noise and make real-time adjustments. Whether you’re in a busy office or transport hub or relaxing at home, the N5 adjusts to suit.
Customise your call experience
Thanks to dual-module environmental noise cancellation, echo suppression and no fewer than six microphones, you’ll always be clearly heard. Zoom certified for call quality, these innovative headphones use a hydrodynamic windproof design for reduced distortion. Open the app and you can fine tune your voice for calls. You can also adjust the caller’s voice via the bass and treble settings, and with sound level optimiser, you’ll hear them at just the right level. Smart Talk* automatically pauses the sound when you talk to other nearby, without having to remove your headphones.
*Smart Talk is not available when used with the 2.4GHz connection.

Combining a unique Oval Tubes design with custom-sized eartips, means that finding a comfortable fit is easy. Water resistant to IP54 standard, they also make ideal earphones for outdoor use.

Download the AKG Headphone app and you get access to a wide range of further features. As well as controlling the noise cancellation and call settings, you can also personalise the sound to suit, including choosing between music, movies and gaming audio settings.
Ample battery life
Connect via Bluetooth and, with ANC switched off, you can enjoy up to 10 hours music playback time. With a further 30 hours charge in the case, you’ve got 40 hours of total time. Use the 2.4G connection and ANC and the playback time is a respectable four hours, with 12 hours charge backup. If you’re in a hurry and have forgotten to recharge the night before, a quick 15 minute charge gets you a further 4 hours playback time.
