Designed to connect an MC cartridge equipped turntable to an MM input, the Elevator EXP lets you keep your high quality MM pre-amp, while upgrading to an MC cartridge. Designed from the ground up, the Elevator EXP is a big improvement on the more common step-up transformer, delivering purer bass, better definition and reduced background hum.
A step-up on a transformer
The Elevator EXP is a step-up amplifier rather than a less sophisticated step-up transformer. As such, it’s far less susceptible to hum than a transformer. The Elevator EXP also delivers less bass distortion than a typical step-up transformer, letting you hear a more lifelike and richly textured bass response.
Adjustable to suit your cartridge
For the best match with your make and model of MC cartridge, the Elevator EXP is fitted with adjustable cartridge loading. Rather than fitting internal or fiddly DIP switches, this step-up amplifier uses facia mounted toggle switches, letting you easily adjust from 23 to 47,000 ohm settings.
