Supplied with high purity, balanced cable
Lavishing such attention on headphone engineering would be wasted if the LCD-5s came with an ordinary cable. Fortunately, they don’t. The specially tuned, high-purity copper cable provides a low capacitance and low resistance path – meaning even the most delicate signals get through. It comes as standard with an XLR terminated, balanced connection that’s the perfect match for most quality headphone amps. A 6.35mm adaptor is also included.
Lightweight materials reduce weight by a third
Audeze have made a great effort in reducing weight, making these headphones more comfortable to wear for longer sessions. At 420 grammes, they’re an impressive one third the weight of the LCD-4s (690 grammes). Audeze have achieved this through the careful use of lightweight materials, such as magnesium, aluminium and acetate.
