Redesigned mesh and earpads deliver improved vocals
Already class-leaders in precise staging, the LCD-5 headphones sound even clearer. New, acoustically transparent mesh and sculpted earpads minimise reflections and resonance. Supplied with high purity, balanced cable
Lavishing such attention on headphone engineering would be wasted if the LCD-5s came with an ordinary cable. Fortunately, they don’t. The specially tuned, high-purity copper cable provides a low capacitance and low resistance path – meaning even the most delicate signals get through. It comes as standard with an XLR terminated, balanced connection that’s the perfect match for most quality headphone amps. A 6.35mm adaptor is also included.
Lightweight materials reduce weight by a third
Audeze have made a great effort in reducing weight, making these headphones more comfortable to wear for longer sessions. At 420 grammes, they’re an impressive one third the weight of the LCD-4s (690 grammes). Audeze have achieved this through the careful use of lightweight materials, such as magnesium, aluminium and acetate.
