The Apex A40 works well as a centre or satellite speaker. The design facilitates vertical or horizontal mounting. Freestanding or wall-mounted, the Apex A40 is flexible enough to adapt.
Top quality drive units
Featuring Monitor Audio’s iconic gold C-CAM tweeter dome, the treble response is tuned for a crisp, low distortion sound, that’s free from harshness. The compact bass cones feature distinctive RST (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, the lightweight cones are made more rigid by the precise pattern of surface dimples. It makes the bass and mid-range natural-sounding and effortlessly flowing.
Punchy bass
Thanks to the twin, HiVe II High Velocity bass ports, the Apex A40 delivers deep, fast-flowing bass that’s always in time with the action. The highly rigid, die-cast alloy cabinet also helps in offering a vibration-free, ultra-low distortion housing. Front-mounted ports mean the speaker can be used in a cabinet or close to a wall.
Luxurious finish
Available in metallic black high gloss or metallic pearl white high gloss, the Monitor Audio Apex A40 enhances any system. Rounded edges keep the style smooth, made all the smoother by magnetically attached grilles, with no visible fixings.

Great support and advice

Crisp clear sound Apex A40 A10
I bought these speakers a few weeks ago following a recommendation from the store manager for my needs of relatively small speakers and a new centre speaker, but I needed high quality. Having checked reviews of the speakers online, I noted they were favourable. They are now installed and provide a clear well-balanced sound that is far better than the speakers I replaced. Thanks for a sound recommendation.

Apex A10 and A40 superb
Bought these as an upgrade to my Radius surround sound. Radius included R270’s. Wow - superb cinema sound but also astonishing quality for music. Stands are a must for the front as this massively upgraded the music particularly. The front two are driven by a Cambridge Amp and the surround and rears by AV. I wasn’t prepared for the level of increase in quality, such was the change. Build quality is very high too. Thoroughly recommend.

Low(ish) profile but great sound
Richer Sounds very helpfully let me return some KEF T101's in favour of these. very glad I did - what fantastic speakers. Expensive, but they do sound great , and surprisingly good bass for a fairly shallow cabinet. Nice glossy black finish, look good too.
