The Nu-Vista difference
Inspired by the original Nu-Vista amplifiers, the Musical Fidelity Ni-Vista 600.2 pairs the distinctive Nu-Vista valves with a Class AB power amplifier circuit for fully analogue, seamless sound. Bolstered by a 160 watt power output, the sound is every bit as powerful as it is smooth. With six inputs, including twin XLR balanced connections, and dual speaker terminals, the design suits a wide variety of system configurations. Wrapped in a thick, aluminium casing, the imposing finish is a match for the sound.
Unique Nu-Vista circuitry
Originally designed for TVs, pro-studio use, and even some military applications, Nu-Vistas are highly robust and long-lasting vacuum tubes (valves). In the Nu-Vista 600.2, four valves are used within a discrete Class A amplifier buffer. Integrated within the Class A pre-amplifier, they imbue the sonic signature with a rich, smooth-flowing sound that’s uniquely analogue.

Delivering an impressive 160 watts per channel, the power amplifier section has ample grunt for maximising the potential from most speakers. Inspired by the iconic TITAN amplifier, the design ensures instantly accessible reserves of current, meaning the sound is dynamic and ready to hit hard, with the least distortion possible.
Dual-mono design for sonic purity
Configured as a dual-mono design, the Nu-Vista 600.2 separates the left and right signals throughout the signal path. From the twin toroidal transformers to the separate left and right amplifier stages, the signals are individually processed. By having separate channels for the right and left signals, you get less interference between the two, giving a purer, less distorted and more spacious sound.
Wide range of inputs
For wide-ranging connectivity, the Nu-Vista features balanced XLR and non-balanced RCA connections. Four RCA line level inputs let you connect to a CD player, separate phono pre-amp, streamer and more. There are also RCA pre-out and line out sockets. Twin speaker outlets are ideal for using with bi-wirable speakers.
Balanced input option
For pro-quality connectivity, the Nu-Vista 600.2 features balanced XLR connectivity. There are two XLR inputs (ideal for a CD player and streamer with XLR outputs) which deliver a sturdy ‘locked in’ connection. There’s also a balanced XLR output that’s ideal for connecting to an upgraded power amplifier. The balanced configuration also ensures improved shielding, especially over longer cable runs.
Colour display with VU metres
Situated between the two over-sized control knobs is a large, colour display. As well as signalling the input source and volume attenuation, the screen also presents digital VU metres. These are calibrated in watts and dB relative to full power, letting you view how much of the Nu-Vista 600.2’s power is being unleased.
Premium finish
True to the Nu-Vista heritage, the 600.2 is constructed on a heavyweight scale. The front and side panels are milled from extruded aluminium. This not only looks and feels luxurious but also acts as a Faraday cage, protecting the internal electronics from external magnetic fields. The controls are backlit by switchable blue or white lighting. The premium remote control is also constructed from aluminium.
