Fully automatic design for ease of use
Featuring fully automated mechanism, the Pro-Ject A.2 is the ideal turntable for fuss-free playback. Simply select the speed – 33 or 45 – then select ‘start’ and let the tonearm and motor do their thing. At the end of the record, the tonearm lifts and returns to its rest. You can skip tracks by using the arm lift as you would with a manual turntable.
High quality design
By using a high quality, AUTOMAT mechanical mechanism, the A1 doesn’t suffer from the sound degrading compromises of other, electronically controlled fully automatic decks.
Vibration resistant construction
With anti-resonant materials used throughout, the A1 gives smooth, low distortion sound. Featuring a wooden plinth, new die-cast aluminium platter and silicon-damped feet, the A1.2 has what it takes to resist vibrations that can afflict the sound and, at worst, even cause the stylus to skip.
Built-in phonostage
Another handy feature with the A1.2 is a built-in phonostage (also known as a phono pre-amp). This means you can wire the deck up to any hi-fi system with an ‘AUX’ input. Alternatively, the phonostage can be switched off and the A1.2 plugs into a phono input, just as with any other deck.
Pick it MM E cartridge supplied
The A1.2 package includes a pre-fitted Pro-Ject Pick it MM E cartridge. This cartridge features a conical diamond for a warm and clear sound. The low mass design helps optimise tracking, while the ABS housing reduces vibrations, giving you the purest sound possible. Fully aligned and ready to play, no fitting or adjustment is required.
Premium interconnect cable included
For optimal sound, without requiring a further upgrade, the A1.2 is supplied with a good quality interconnect. The Connect it E phono cable features semi-symmetrical construction with substantial shielding, meaning it rejects electrical interference, reducing the chances of audible hum and buzz. 24k gold-plated plugs give a low resistance connection for the best audio signal transfer.
