Engineered for the best possible sound at its price, the Pro-Ject E1.2 delivers everything needed in a quality turntable, without the frills. A new, aluminium platter, with TPE damping and a solid plinth ensure stable and low distortion sound. The matching aluminium tonearm and Pick it E MM cartridge provide precise sound through accurate tracking. The deck is ready to play and has electronic speed change for ease of use.
Engineered for great sound
When it comes to producing great sounding turntables, Pro-Ject has decades of experience. Crucial to this is quality engineering. The E1.2 has a 730g aluminium platter with TPE damping for smooth and stable sound, without ‘ringing’ distortion. The CNC-machined plinth has no hollow spaces and provides excellent vibration resistance. Combined with the isolation feet, this gives the E1.2 a well-damped, low distortion sound.
Aluminium tonearm for precise tracking
With an aluminium arm-tube and carbon-reinforced headshell, the tonearm is both light and rigid. The more rigid a tonearm, the more precisely it tracks, meaning you get to hear every nuance of detail from your records. For ease of use, all the tonearm settings are factory-set, making this Pro-Ject deck ready to play, straight from the box.
Pick it MM E cartridge supplied
The E1.2 package includes a pre-fitted Pro-Ject Pick it MM E cartridge. This cartridge features a conical diamond for a warm and clear sound. The low mass design helps optimise tracking, while the ABS housing reduces vibrations, giving you the purest sound possible. Fully aligned and ready to play, no fitting or adjustment is required.
Electronic speed change
Another feature that makes the E1.2 a great starter deck is the electronic speed control. Many decks in this class either have no speed control or a fiddly twin pulley system that means you manually have to move the belt from one pulley to another. With the E1.2 you get a simple switch that adjusts between 33 and 45 speeds at the click of a button. If you have a decent collection of singles and regularly switch speeds, electronic speed control makes all the difference to your user experience.
Choice of finishes
The simple, elegant styling gives the E1.2 timeless appeal. Available in black, white or walnut finishes, there’s a colour to suit your style. All models come with a removable dust lid.
