The hub of your system
With no fewer than 13 inputs and outputs, the Pro-Ject Pre Box S3 makes the ideal hub for the most sophisticated audio system. From TV to turntable and taking in your PC and Smartphone via wireless Bluetooth along the way, this neat little pre-amp truly connects it all. Featuring high quality components, including a 24-bit/192Hz DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter), it also reveals the most natural response from all your audio sources.
Dual mono circuit for sonic precision
Built with precision quality components, the Pre Box S3 delivers lifelike, low distortion sound. For enhanced soundstaging, it features dual mono circuitry. With separate channels for left and right signals you hear more space between instruments and a wider, more immersive soundstage.
Hi-Res Audio compatible digital sound
Fitted with a multi-bit Delta Sigma 24-bit DAC, the Pre Box S3 is ideal for connecting to your digital sources and enjoying Hi-Res Audio music files – perfect for extracting the ultimate performance from the Hi-Res music files stored on your computer. With precise internal clocking for low jitter and accurate timing, the result is a clean, natural, and engaging sound that faithfully reflects your music’s character.
Output to active speakers, power amp or headphones
Supremely versatile, the Pre Box S3 seamlessly works with a wide variety of systems. Connect to a power amp via the variable output or pair with your active speakers using the fixed 3.5mm output. You can also connect to headphones via the 6.3mm socket at the front. If you’re using the system with satellite speakers and need a bass boost, there’s also a dedicated sub out for an active subwoofer.
Connect to your turntable
With a dedicated MM (Moving Magnet) input, the Pre Box S3 connects to a wide variety of turntables, without the need for an additional phono pre-amp. There are also two analogue line inputs – ideal for connecting to an FM tuner and CD player without digital output.
Link up a TV
Connect your TV via HDMI eARC and you can bring the benefit of your music system’s sound to your TV, without the need for an additional soundbar. The eARC (enhanced Audio return Channel) ensures that you can keep control of the volume with your existing remote. If your TV doesn’t have a spare HDMI socket, simply connect via optical or coaxial inputs.
USB-C for PC
For the best in computer audio, simply connect to your desktop computer, laptop or even tablet or smartphone, via the USB-C interface. This ensures top quality sound, with full 24-bit/192kHz file compatibility.
Bluetooth on board
If you prefer a wireless link, simply pair up via Bluetooth. Perfect for connecting to your smartphone, or even a Bluetooth-equipped turntable or TV that might be on the other side of the room, Bluetooth makes light work of wireless connectivity. For enhanced sound quality, it’s compatible with aptX and aptX HD codecs.
