Perfect for shops and bars, cafes and offices, the Tascam CD-400U is a multi-source component that’s built for commercial use. Featuring a CD player, Bluetooth streaming, DAB+ and FM radios, plus connections for SD card and USB readers, this could be the only source you need for your music system.
Premium quality CD player
The high precision, slot-loaded mechanism allows quick loading and avoids using a delicate tray that can be damaged in busy commercial applications. The player is compatible with CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM and MP3 encoded discs, for wide-ranging playback potential.
Stream music via Bluetooth
For a wireless alternative, simply pair your smartphone, tablet, laptop or other device via Bluetooth. Compatible with high quality codecs, such as AAC and Qualcomm aptX, this offers a highly convenient way to swiftly link a source and enjoy top quality, wireless music.
DAB+ and FM tuner
Ideal for continuous background music, the CD-400U features a DAB+/FM tuner. DAB+ delivers crystal-clear, digital radio with a wide range of additional, digital only radio stations, such as the popular BBC 6 Music and 4 Extra. The tuner’s sound can be outputted via the general outputs or its own, dedicated RCA phono output.
AUX, SD card reader and USB playback
Continuing the playback flexibility theme, the CD-400U is fitted with SD card and USB readers. These support MP3, AAC, WAV and WMA files and FAT16 and FAT 32 formats. At the front of the player there’s an AUX input, which is perfect for occasionally connected devices such as a portable music player.
Record to SD card or USB
As well as being a versatile playback device, the CD-400U also records. Use a suitably formatted SD card or USB flash dongle and record directly from the CD player or radio.
Professional connectivity
As well as regular RCA outputs, the CD-400U features pro-grade XLR balanced connections that make the ideal connection to a professional amp. A remote control is included, and the unit can also be accessed by serial control, using the built-in RS-232C port.
