A complete music hub
Compatible with a wide range of music streaming options, including Internet radio, Roon, Spotify and more, the Teac UD-701N has everything you could want from a premium network music player. More than this, however, the exceptional quality DAC has multiple inputs, letting you upgrade all your digital sources, too. The fully balanced design enhances sound quality and even extends to the quality headphone output. There’s also an analogue pre-amp built-in, meaning that you can connect directly to a power amp or active speakers and be ready to go.
Fully equipped network streamer
As a network music streamer, the UD-701N is fully equipped. With native support for Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz and TuneIn internet radio, you’ve got the potential to access near unlimited music. For direct streaming from your smartphone, there’s also Qualcomm aptX HD supported Bluetooth. Roon Ready means that it’s ready to fit within a multiroom, Hi-Res music system, too.
Premium quality DAC
Teac’s newly developed Delta Sigma DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) uses discrete components for the most precise sound possible. It’s compatible with Hi-Res music files up to 32 bit/384kHz and 22.5MHz DSD and can also upscale signals, enhancing the quality of any digital signals. With two coaxial, two optical and USB inputs, you can upgrade the sound from your CD/DVD/Blu-ray player, TV, games console, PC and much more – all that’s needed is for the music source to have a digital output.
High quality headphone amp
Equalling the quality of many standalone headphone amp’s the UD-701N’s output optimises your headphone’s performance. The low noise design ensures an ultra-quiet background, letting you hear every nuance of musical detail. The powerful output suits all types of headphones, including high-impedance designs that regular headphone outlets can struggle with. For maximum performance with premium headphones, there’s a balanced 4-pin XLR output as well as a regular 6.35mm socket.
Analogue pre-amp
More than just a digital hub, the Teac UD-701 also features RCA and XLR analogue inputs. Perfect for connecting a phono pre-amp, high-end CD player or other music source, these inputs allow you to use this Teac as a complete pre-amp. Simply connect to a power amp or active speakers, via RCA phono or XLR balanced outputs and your system’s complete.
Fully-balanced circuits for outstanding sound quality
Fully-balanced at every stage, the high quality circuitry resists distortion to give the cleanest and most accurate sound quality possible. The dual mono construction separates the left and right channels for much of the signal path, further enhancing the soundstage and musical detail.
Individual toroidal power transformers
For the most stable power supply and smooth dynamics, Teac have specified high-capacity, toroidal power transformers. For ultimate precision, there are no fewer than four in total. Two transformers cater for the left and right analogue supply signals, while the network player and digital control sections each have their own supply, too.
‘Pin-Point’ feet for mechanical isolation
Incorporating two separate metal sections within a single housing, Teac’s Pin-Point feet provide highly effective isolation from surface vibrations. The two-part feet use an enclosed ‘spike and cup’ solution to effectively disperse vibrations. With three feet fitted, the unit remains stable on all types of surfaces.
Full metal chassis
Designed to match Teac’s other Reference 700 products, the UD-701N fits right into a Teac system. The robust metal chassis uses a floating structure to keep the transformers isolated from the delicate electronics. The ribbed side panels both aid cooling and function as further dampening, helping to reduce distortion to an absolute minimum.
Enjoy top quality music streaming, and so much more, with the Teac UD-701N.
