ESS Sabre ES9038 PRO DAC – a big name in sound
ESS are a top name in digital technology, with their chips used in the highest quality audio and AV around. With the DAC300, the DAC chip is combined with a Sabre ES9311EQ power supply, helping to deliver a low noise signal for outstanding signal-to-noise ratio. This means that you get sensational music dynamics, with the lowest levels of background noise for supreme detail retrieval.
Engineered to the highest standards
It’s not simply the quality of the DAC chip that makes this DAC sound as good as it does, the signal path engineering is of the highest quality, too. Three independent, low noise power transformers with 12 independent voltage regulations drive each section of the DAC with absolute precision. ESA series Clarity Cap MKP link capacitors and high-frequency capacitors with silver mica technology are amongst the high precision components used for outstanding clarity and low distortion.

Balanced outputs for studio quality sound
Featuring XLR Cannon, balanced outputs, the DAC300 offers studio grade connectivity with your amp. XLR balanced connectivity provides a solid, ‘locked in’ connection and the ability to run a far longer cable, without a drop off in performance. For amps without XLR inputs, the DAC300 also features standard RCA phono outputs. For a fully balanced signal path, there’s also an AES/EBU balanced digital input.
Versatile connectivity
As well as the USB-B and balanced interface, the DAC300 also benefits from wireless Bluetooth, plus three coaxial and optical inputs, making a total of nine digital inputs. Perfect for connecting to your smartphone, CD player, network streamer, TV or games console, this input flexibility makes the DAC300 the hub of your system. For digital signal looping, there are also optical and coaxial digital outputs, as well as the analogue RCA phonos.
Luxury finish and supplied system remote
Fronted by an 8mm thick, brushed aluminium facia, the DAC300 has a luxurious look and feel. Providing system control, the supplied remote lets you command an Atoll Electronique system. As well as controlling the DAC, it also controls a matching amp, tuner and CD player/transport.
