Streamer, pre-amp and DAC, in one
Although the MS120’s main function is as a network streamer, take a closer look and you’ll see it’s much more than that. With twin line inputs, an analogue output and a dedicated volume control, it also works as a pre-amplifier, too. Simply add a dedicated power amp, such as the matching MA100, and you’ve got a two-box, just-add-speakers system. With its wide range of digital inputs, including Bluetooth, the MS120 also works as a standalone DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter).
Compact streamer that’s big on sound quality
Although highly versatile, the MS120 is still big on sound quality. Twin transformers and high quality MKP capacitors ensure powerful and dynamic sound. Discrete components in the audio stage mean subtle details are clearly depicted. For premium sound within the digital domain, the MS120 features a Burr-Brown DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) with high signal/noise ratio and dynamic range.
Suitable for Hi-Res Audio
The MS120 is compatible with a wide range of files, including lossless and Hi-Res Audio. It supports PCM files up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD128, with compatible formats including DXD, DSD, flac and MQA.
Support for your favourite music streamer
The MS120 supports a wide range of popular music streaming services, including Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz and HighResAudio. The Internet radio system, airable, is also supported. Alternatively, connect to your local network attached drive via DLNA or UPnP protocols and wirelessly stream your own, stored music files.
Connect direct
If you use Spotify, Qobuz or Tidal premium services, the MS120 is compatible with their ‘Connect’ feature (premium account may be required). This lets you use the Spotify, Qobuz or Tidal app to take direct control of the streamer, giving you a seamless experience as you switch between devices.
AirPlay, Roon Ready and more for multiroom potential
The MS120 fits into a wide range of multiroom ecosystems. Compatible with AirPlay, it’s ideal for streaming directly from your Apple devices. It’s also compatible with Roon and Audirvāna audio playback software, letting you incorporate the MS120 into a Hi-Res Audio, multiroom system.
3-way control
For wide ranging control, the MS120 can be navigated via the facia buttons, the supplied remote control or the dedicated Atoll Signature 2 control app. The control buttons provide direct access to volume, as well as menu navigation, supported by the 5” LED colour display. The supplied remote control also operates matching amps and CD players, making it the only remote you need for a complete Atoll system. Finally, the Atoll Signature 2 app is available for iOS and Android and lets you take control of all the streaming functions from the convenience of your smartphone or tablet.
