The Chord Company SignatureX Tuned ARAY Analogue XLR is made from the finest cable, helping it deliver the most lifelike and natural sound possible. Key to this is the use of separately shielded silver-plated conductors for optimal signal transfer.
Improved by the X factor
Replacing PTFE insulation with high performance XLPE (Cross Linked Polyethylene) improves the performance of this already impressive cable. When the Chord Company extensively tested XLPE, it outperformed other materials in listening sessions. Superior insulation reduces interference, giving a smoother, more natural sound with enhanced detail.
Tuned ARAY geometry
The Chord Company SignatureX also benefits from Chord’s Tuned ARAY conductor geometry. The result is a cable that carries a lot more detail, dynamics and better portrayal of the individual instrument’s timbres. The Tuned ARAY conductor geometry means it carries this extra information with all the coherence it needs to make for a genuinely musical and involving sound.
Balanced XLR cable for studio quality connection
For the best performance possible, Chord Company have added a third conductor to its handbuilt XLR range. This means three identical conductors for all three connections, as well the Tuned ARAY conductor technology. The SignatureX XLR is produced in exactly the same conductor configuration that’s used for the original, flagship Sarum Tuned ARAY XLR cable.
ChorAlloy-plated plug connections
Using a multi-metal plating system, the XLR plugs use ChorAlloy-plated connectors to deliver the low resistance and high conductivity of silver-plating but without the longer term tarnishing issues. This means that you get a long-lasting, low resistance connection.
