FIIO’s discrete DAC for enhanced sound
The DM15 features FiiO’s advanced resistor based 24-bit DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). Rather than using a single microchip, the DAC circuit is made up of dozens of thin-film resistors, carefully configured within the highest tolerances. This unique configuration gives the DM15 a more natural and organic sound that’s musical and engaging for long term listening.
Tune the sound to suit you
With 3 Bass modes and 8 built-in EQ presets, you can create 24 sound settings for the perfect personal sound. The sound settings include a retro preset that delivers a rich, warm sound that’s perfect for recreating an analogue flavour.
Ideal as a USB DAC
With the potential for supporting sampling rates up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, the internal DAC is ideal for processing Hi-Res audio files. Simply connect your smartphone, laptop or home computer via the USB-C input and this portable CD player instantly becomes a powerful, dedicated DAC.
Rip your CD to WAV files via USB

When used in desktop mode, the DM15 can now drive headphones via the 4.4mm balanced output with as much as 1150mW per channel. With the single-ended 3.5mm output, the power is a still impressive 315mW per channel.

This single 3.5mm output socket connects to analogue, optical and coaxial digital inputs, making it ideal for connecting to all types of system. Designed to be as compact as possible, the DM15 is even slimmer than the DM13, making it possible to fit the player in a coat pocket or bag. Switchable ESP (Electronic Skip Protection) makes it ideal for using on a train or coach, where jolts might otherwise make the laser skip.
Modern battery technology for longer lasting playback
Since the dawn of the first CD portables, battery technology has moved on by leaps and bounds. There’s no need for a constant supply of AA batteries with this FiiO. Instead, the player uses a rechargeable cobalt lithium battery, with up to 7 hours playback time. When using at home or work, switch to D.MODE and the battery is bypassed, helping to prolong its life.
