Sound good. Cable too short
Bought 8th January, but because of illness just got round to listening. The sound is clear with plenty of warmth if a bit too much treble for my taste. My only complaint is the length of cable provided. Very short leaving me having to readjust my furniture for comfortable listening. I guess I’ll have to use an extension cable. Comfortable to wear

Great Sound!
Fantastic pair of closed backs. Brilliant for travelling, and listening at home. Passive isolation is pretty good, which makes commuting with them brilliant. They're also easy to drive for those that don't want to carry around a DAC.

Worth the money
I’ve never spent so much on a pair of headphones before but so glad I did, excellent quality and sound. The only negative I have is the cable length, I ended up having to buy an extension cable.

Best closed-back I've ever heard
As my wife has started working nights, I needed a closed-back set of headphones, having Sennheiser HD600 and AKG 702 open-back pairs. I was able to test both the Elegia and Celestee models, thanks to the helpful staff at the Manchester City Centre shop (which has some quality audio gear in stock these days!). The Celestee was a lot more detailed and natural-sounding, and I went for those - they were at a very good, reduced price. I continue to be impressed: the best closed-back headphones I have heard, and an improvement in most areas on my other pairs. They show very little of the 'cupped' or 'boxy' sound that other closed headphones I have heard exhibit. The height and width of the more speaker-like soundstage is another striking virtue. One obvious problem for home hi-fi users is the supplied cable, which at less than a metre in length is quite daft! [Fine for portable uses, obviously] I managed to get a good quality 3m cable from ScandiSound via Estsy for £90 and am now well-chuffed with both the sound of my Focals and their usability. This has been a worthwhile investment: not exactly cheap, but it is worth pushing the boat out a bit to avoid something disappointing, if you need to get closed-back headphones.

Great buying experience and excellent advice
