Amazingly precise sound
At the heart of the Musical Fidelity M6scd CD player is a 32 bit Delta-Sigma, dual differential DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) with 8x over-sampling. Although this might appear over-engineered for a CD player, upsampling a CD signal refines the signal for a purer, more lifelike sound. Combined with Musical Fidelity’s filter circuits, you also get incredibly low levels of jitter – giving detail and transparency of sound that leads its class.
A dedicated DAC for your other digital sources
A great bonus with the Musical Fidelity M6scd is the ability to use it as a digital hub for your other digital sources. With twin coaxial digital inputs that accept signals up to 32-bit/192kHz and twin optical inputs that accept 32-bit/96kHz signals, you can even connect High-Res audio compatible sources and take advantage of the top quality DAC built into the CD player.
Asynchronous USB
As well as the coaxial and optical inputs, the M6scd also feature an asynchronous USB interface. This type of USB interface is the best for computer audio as it bypasses your computer's built-in soundcard and instead utilises the high quality 32-bit DAC built into the M6scd. With the CD player effectively controlling the output from your computer, it delivers audio from your computer to its highest potential.
