Featuring a robust, three-stage inverted Darlington output, the Icon M-80’s Class A/B amplifier has ample power for all types of speakers and all genres of music. With 150 watts per channel (at 8 ohms), there’s ample grunt to drive even the least efficient speakers to room-filling levels. The symmetrical design ensures perfect balance between left and right channels, creating an immersive soundstage.
Precision sound
Ensuring high-precision sound, the Icon M-80 uses Onkyo’s DIDRC (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry). This reduces distortion at the top end of the music scale, giving you a smoother and purer response. Along with the high current power supply, it means that the sound remains crisp and refined, even when pushed to higher volumes.

Thanks to state-of-the-art digital room correction from Dirac, the Icon M-80 offers pro-level room optimisation.
