Bring the feel of the cinema to your home, with the Polk Audio PSW 10e.
Power to please
If you’re finding that your movies, music and gaming are missing something, a powerful subwoofer from Polk Audio could be just what you’re looking for. Featuring a 10 inch subwoofer dedicated to bass and powered by a 50 watt amplifier, the Polk PSW10E delivers the bottom line that conventional speakers miss. With bass delivered right down to 40Hz, you get the powerful, dynamic sound that’s usually only found on large, floorstanding speakers.
Punchy, resonant-free sound
This Polk Audio isn’t just about how low the bass goes, it’s about how precise it is, too. The polymer composite cone is highly rigid, meaning it moves with precision – reducing sonic distortion. The cabinet uses solid construction for rattle-free sound. Using a front bass port not only improves the efficiency but also means you can place the subwoofer close to a wall or in a corner, without blocking the port – giving consistent and even bass in all room locations.
Set the perfect balance
Comprehensive controls make it easy to get the PSW 10e to perfectly match your existing speakers and room acoustics. Set the low pass filter for the sub to seamlessly pick up the sound where your existing speakers tail off – from 160 to 80Hz. Then set the phase control to ‘0’ or ‘180’, depending upon whether the sub is placed in front of or behind you. Finally, set the volume to personal taste. Generally the larger and more densely furnished a room is the higher this needs to be – but it’s entirely up to you and there’s no ‘wrong’ setting!
Choice of connections
Designed to work with all types of systems, the PSW10e has both speaker and line level inputs. Line level (phono) inputs are generally used when connecting an AV receiver or certain amps and soundbars. The speaker level inputs work with any system that has conventional speaker outputs. Simply connect your speakers to the subwoofer and wire the sub to your system as though it were the original pair of speakers – simple.
Get right to the bottom line, with the Polk Audio PSW 10e.

Awesome sound
After my Tannoy sub gave up in myle been looking for a good and value for money alternative and the guys at Richer sounds Southampton told me about this Polk Audio PWS10E. After purchasing the tannoy I was pleased with the sound but the Polk beat it hands down the Bass is deep and crisp and the quality is out of this world. I didn't think you could get such an amazing sound out of an entry level Sub but the staff at Richer sounds Southampton were absolutely on the level with the information regarding this sub its fantastic.

Nice One!
Just installed and I’m delighted with the enhanced breadth of frequency and the way it frees-up my towers to concentrate on the high/mids and upper lows. Unsure about longevity of the foam surround but time will tell. It is quite large but I knew where it would work well and the front-firing reflex port allows close wall placement. The manual is concise but comprehensive. Very pleased with improvement over my passive Yamaha. Outstanding value!

Great Sound, Happy Purchase
Had this for a month now. I didn't want anything too expensive honestly, and with the offer at the time it was a great deal.
I added it my 5.0 setup i had so now 5.1 and it really adds the missing ingredient for the low lows that was missing from the sound experience. Of course the more expensive ones are going to sound better but it really is fantastic, mainly tried LOTR, SW, Marvel movies and very impressed with all of these and more.
Ive had to turn it down to around 15% output as my god it can really make some fantastic bass. it is quite large so just check the measurements before you purchase.
Easy to setup but you do need your own cable which is red/white audio on the Sub to whatever your amp takes.

Great value bit of kit
Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace my old Tannoy subwoofer which finally stopped working.
Did some research & decided that the Polk looked like a good replacement. The price for Richer Sounds was very good so I went for it & so far I'm delighted. It's quite a bit bigger & heavier than the Tannoy but I managed to find a niche for it. The sound is very good & it looks good as well. Well worth getting in my opinion

Great value, excellent sound
Bought this to replace an old broken Tannoy Sub. Excellent value compared to other similar subwoofers. Better bass than my previous Tannoy.

Rumble without breaking the bank.
I recently bought a pair of Kef Lsx IIs from Richer Sounds in Plymouth. They sound brilliant on their own but I decided to connect a sub just to fill out the bottom end a touch. I had 3 old subs at home and none really worked too well, so after some online research, went for the Polk PRW10. Two reasons, I didn't want to spend too much as my lounge is smallish and I don't want to upset my neighbours. The Polk satisfies on both counts. It has more than enough low end but it is also quite tight and controlled. It has the facility to choose the required frequency and after a bit of experimentation, I found the sweet spot. The price is excellent for a speaker which provides this level of sound quality.
