Focused on the purest sound
With every element tuned for the best performance possible, the Pro-Ject Debut PRO S Balanced delivers a rich musical experience. Precision engineered to extract the maximum from your vinyl, the turntable resists distortion to achieve superb clarity. This latest version of the PRO S offers further potential with its True Balanced Connection. When used with a compatible cable and phono pre-amp, the balanced connection further reduces distortion, for even purer sound.
True Balanced Connection for the purest sound
For the first time with a Debut PRO model, this latest version features a True Balanced Connection. The balanced output* uses a mini-XLR socket to create a studio-quality link when used with a suitable phono pre-amp (compatible models include Pro-Ject Phono Box S3 B and Phono Box DS3 B). A balanced connection resists noise from wi-fi, Bluetooth and other airborne interference, giving you a much purer and less distorted sound.

As well as having the option of a balanced output, this turntable is engineered to a high standard. From the TPE damped, heavy aluminium platter to the 10” S-shaped tonearm with precision milled bearing, every aspect of the design is beautifully engineered. It’s this precision engineering that gives the Debut PRO S Balanced such a detailed and highly resolved sound quality, letting you hear every breathe from your favourite artist.
Enhanced tracking with an S-shaped tonearm
Retro-styled but anything but retro sounding, the 10” S-shaped tonearm sets this deck apart from other Debut models. The aluminium S-shaped arm tube delivers enhanced tracking through its design. It also features VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle). VTA can be very handy if you decide to fit a new, deeper, cartridge or an accessory platter mat. By being able to position the tonearm perfectly level, you get the least distorted and most accurate sound possible.
Supplied with Pick IT S2 C cartridge
Supplied with a Pro-Ject Pick-IT S2 C, screw-fit cartridge, the Debut PRO S Balanced has everything you need for playback, straight out of the box. The screw-in fit makes it easy to change cartridges and is especially handy if you swap between 78s and other records.
3-speed capability
Built-in electronic speed control lets you effortlessly switch between 33 and 45 speeds. Electronic control keeps the speed as accurate as possible, giving you the truest pitch. For 78rpm records, simply fit the supplied 78rpm belt (a 78rpm cartridge is also required).
Height adjustable metal feet
Three, height adjustable metal feet provide the perfect base for the Debut PRO S Balanced. These not only help level the turntable but, thanks to the integral damping, help isolate the deck from surface vibrations, too.
