”This loudspeaker has the all-round sonic appeal to match its startlingly smart looks!” ’Hi-Fi News’ – Outstanding Product.
Sound through science
Derived from their flagship Concept 500 model, the Concept 50 uses HPE technology. With HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, distortion is reduced to a minimum. Larger speaker cabinets can build up pressure in specific areas, causing resonance and cabinet distortion. By equalising the pressure around the cabinet, the pressure is reduced, giving a less distorted sound.
Advanced cabinet design
A further key to the Q Acoustics Concept 50’s life-like sound is the cabinet design. Simply put, it's a cabinet within a cabinet, separated by a special resonance-cancelling compound called Gelcore. This greatly reduces the resonance of the cabinet for far less distortion. Proved to work by laser measurement, the Concept 50 simply sounds clearer, more natural and gets you closer to your music.
Sealed tweeter for ultimate clarity
The soft dome tweeter is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the cabinet. This lets it sound uncoloured, giving you class-leading detail that’s, again, free from distortion. The soft dome material keeps the treble response smooth and refined.
Vocals sound real
With its aluminium baffle and high power handling woofers, the Concept 50, once again, puts neutrality first. This means that vocal performances sound incredibly ‘real’, just like you’re there, at the studio or gig with them.
Twin bass drivers for power and depth
With twin 125mm bass cones, the Concept 50 provides a deep, powerful bass. Large woofer magnets ensure that the bass is kept under firm control and gives these speakers a foot-tapping timing that’s not always guaranteed with floorstanding speakers.
Supplied with arc stabiliser
For maximum stability and isolation, the Concept 50 speakers come with an arc stabiliser and four-point spike system. This not only ensures the speaker is stable but also minimises floor vibrations from affecting the sound purity.
Stylish design
Modest dimensions mean the Concept 50 speakers won’t overwhelm your room. With their rounded corners, they further soften their visual impact in your home and you can choose between gloss silver, white or black for the perfect decor match.
Part of a family
As part of the Concept range, you can select standmounter, floorstanding and centre speakers, letting you put together a premium quality, home cinema speaker system.
