Product Information
Big on sonic scale, yet compact and elegant to behold, the Teac AP-507 delivers immersive sound, in style.
Small power amp with big performance
The Teac AP-507 is a compact power amp whose small dimensions make it ideal for a wide variety of applications. Perfect for premium desktop systems, a bookshelf system, multiroom applications or simply for when you want your music system to be as discreet as possible, this Teac power amp simply blends in. Although unobtrusive, there’s plenty of power on tap, with the potential for even more when doubled-up for bi-amping. With a wide range of other Reference 500 series separates, you can easily build a complete system – in style.
Room-filling sound
When driving regular 8 ohm speakers, the AP-507 is capable of delivering an impressive 75 watts per channel – ample for most rooms and all but the most demanding speakers. Use 4 ohms speakers and the power increases to 125 watts per channel. Either way, the AP-507’s NCOREx amp ensures there’s always precise bass control and unparalleled clarity – even at higher volume levels.
Dual mono buffer amp design for enhanced soundstaging
Featuring Teac’s own dual mono buffer amp, left and right channels feature their own circuits. Splitting the two channels in this way reduces cross-distortion, helping to improve the soundstage for a more enveloping and three-dimensional sound.
Bi-amp and BTL modes for even more immersion
Pair up two AP507 power amps and take the power and soundstaging to the next level. In Bi-amp mode, each speaker’s treble and bass unit is driven by a dedicated amplifier, giving enhanced control of each individual drive unit for breathtaking clarity. Alternatively, switch to BTL (bridged), where each speaker is effectively driven by a mono power amp, and the power output rockets to a mighty 230 watts per channel (at 8 ohms).
Control flexibility – includes balanced XLR inputs
For the most versatile connectivity, the AP-507connects to your pre-amp via balanced XLR or regular RCA phono sockets. 12v in and trigger through sockets ensure home installation compatibility when positioned remotely.
Build a premium Reference 500 mini separates system
The Teac AP-507 is just part of the Reference 500 series, letting you create a high-performance, effortlessly stylish system. For a system that’s curated to your exacting needs, simply add CD and/or Network Transport music sources, and combine with a headphone amp or full digital hub with USB DAC/pre-amp/headphone amp. Whichever system you choose, you can be assured of seamless sound quality and aesthetic elegance.
Compact elegance
When it comes to style, the AP-507 looks every bit as impressive as it sounds. From the subtly backlit VU metres to the sleek aluminium casing with robust metal side cheeks, every element speaks of understated quality.
Bring firepower to your system, with the Teac AP-507.
